Apt 12: Montepulciano 800 yr old Monastery

Our self catering accommodation is in an 800 year old converted monastery situated 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines, close to art and culture, with great views, restaurants, coffee bars and enotecas. You’ll love our place due to the coziness, the views, the people and the location. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), large groups, and with prior permission, great for furry friends (pets). The space Apartment - 12 Leonardo da Vinci: One of our largest apartments that accommodates in our converted 800 year old monastery. This 2 bedroom apartment with en-suite bathrooms is located on the ground floor. A wooden and glass panelled private entrance leads into a wide corridor taking you left into the lounge furnished with a sofa set, wooden coffee tables, satellite TV and typical Tuscan decor; very spacious with original ancient stone and brick walls, a dining area furnished with a large rustic wooden table that seats 6 people and an open kitchen built from walnut wood. Off the living room is an alcove where you can relax with a good glass of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano in front of the open fireplace. This "room" is often used to accommodate one or two extra beds, allowing for up to 6 people to use the apartment. To the right of the corridor are 2 bedrooms (the bedrooms have air-conditioning) with wooden parquet floors, one with 2 single beds that can be united to form a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, shower and sink. The second bedroom, large in size, has one double bed with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a toilet, shower, sink and bidet. The mattresses are orthopaedic and personal bed and shower linen is made from the highest quality Egyptian cotton. At the entrance and looking out of the kitchen window are lawn gardens with beds of lavender and terracotta pots placed in various areas with bright red geraniums. The lawns and terraces are furnished with comfortable garden furniture to sunbathe or tables and chairs to dine al fresco. Guest access Guests have access in the summer period to our pool, to relax in our spacious gardens and terraces with breathtaking views, usage of our BBQs, or for burning the odd calorie, free use of our private 3.2km running / walking trail that winds through our farmland, the rolling hills and our forest. Other things to note All apartments are self catering and furnished with linen, towels and kitchen utensils. Bath and bed linen is changed every 3/4 nights. For extra linen or towels changes, a supplementary charge will be applied. Accommodation rates includes: - Free 24 hours internet / WIFI. - A private 3.2km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farmlands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views behind each corner..... - Small grass football field and stretching / yoga area - 100 meter hill climb for extra running activities - Parking - Gardens and terraces - BBQ facilities - Swimming pool (during the warmer season) - Laundry room for all guests Firewood: Euro 5.00 per night for accommodations with a fireplace, if used. During the colder season, rates are exclusive of central heating, to be paid separately in on a consumption basis. Each accommodation is individually controlled. Rates are non profit. NB: A tourist tax of €2.00 per person per day is not included in the accommodation rate and is to be settled when paying the final account.
