Description
Oakwoods, much built in Medieval times, has been lovingly restored by "Grand Designer (Ch 4)" - Monty. Great garden swing. There is a cinema room, minstrels gallery, grand piano, walk-on glass well, open fires, warm brickwork, low beams & panoramic views. Board games, darts and ping pong, plus yoga instructor (by appointment). All around are fields & forests, magical walks and wildlife. Extra guests possible, please ask. Car charging at 3kw is possible at cost. The space On your doorstep is beautiful countryside, with views soaring over fields and forests. Watch the deer grazing and pheasants strutting, ease past an evening with soft sunsets. Go for walks right from the doorstep. Strike up a pose with the darts, or fold out the ping pong and challenge the group to a tournament. Borrow the archery kit... Or chill even more with Kristel taking you through a yoga session, if not singing with her extraordinary voice songs from opera and the like? Guest access The house is rambling, and spread over 3 floors. The master bedroom has en-suite bathroom which has a second door 'Jack & Jill style' to allow your other guests to share. The upper study and 'dorm zone' in the west loft are accessed via floating stairs inside the medieval chimney to reveal stunning views through a wholly glazed wall. The '5th bedroom' in this loft space has reduced ceiling height with 3 double bed mattresses tucked neatly away on the floor. Use as a one couple space, or hang out zone for younger age groups. There is a secondary kitchen & toilet/wet room space. This can also be converted into a downstairs bedroom if required. The garden is big enough for 5-a-side football and more. The double decker bus can be handy as a local taxi, and with that many seats its pretty cost effective. There is enough parking for as many cars as you like, and even larger vehicles. Other things to note There are village shops/post offices in Kingsley and Whitehill. Pubs are many and varied, The Selborne Arms & The Hangars both within 45min walk. The former next to the famous Zig-zag walk made by Gilbert White, with great views across the landscape. The Hawkley Inn is another fine pub close by, and more likewise in Arford and Liss Forest. Plus The Harrow in Steep, Rose & Crown in Farringdon.... Jane Austen’s house is a 10min drive away.
