A Spacious SINGLE Garden facing room in a quiet, airy, modern & stylish home with a private rear garden. Hosted by an International Traveler & 3 rescue cats. 2 miles from UoB, QEII & Selly Oak. Bus links 5 mins walk. Park/Ride Rail link in Selly Oak to UoB, New Street (Grand Central), Bromsgrove, Redditch & Stratford-upon-Avon. Includes a light breakfast (Tea/Coffee/Cereals/Toast & Preserves) The space The Music House is a genuine oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of England's second City / host to the 2022 Commonwealth Games; Birmingham. Please note that unfortunately The Music House is NOT suitable for use as a 'half-way house', for 'working-from-home', online study courses or exams or night-shift workers. The Music House is a 'Bed and Breakfast' - not a Hotel, Directors Club or Office Rental. Reasons for this are at the end of this section. If you are in doubt, please outline your requirement in your initial request. The house - my home, is shared with 3 delightful, friendly house-cats; Pogo, Boo and Ghost; they have full run of downstairs, are clean & unlikely to bother you unless you want to say 'hello.' They will however exercise their instinctive curiosity if you leave your room door ajar. As discussed previously, The Music House is NOT suitable for working from home for the following reasons: 1. Energy costs have tripled; Thermostatically controlled temperature set at 18C (64F) (0600-1700), 19.5C (67F) 1700-2300 and 17C (62F) 2300-0600. Guests may not arrive with / utilise their own portable electric bar, oil, fan or any other heaters. 2. Business and high-powered Laptops plugged in 24/7 and used 8-12 hours have a significant impact to energy costs, the environment and sustainability. 3. Whilst we strive to provide WiFi, the bandwidth and reliability may not be good enough for home-working. Guest access Booked Bed-room, WC / Shower-Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Private Patio & Garden, Lounge. During your stay COVID-19 Mitigation Measures Guests may be subject to non-invasive temperature checks on arrival if they appear to be unwell. Additional COVID-19 cleaning and sanitisation measures are in place. The Music House is NOT suitable for 'Quarantine' stays due to the shared facilities.
