Beach Cabin on American Lake

An inviting beach cabin situated on beautiful American Lake. The property neighbors a city park with a ball field, skate park, outdoor basketball, playground and a designated swimming area. The property is buffered from the street by another house so there is a sense of privacy but is still less than 20 minutes to downtown Tacoma or Olympia and downtown Seattle is 50 minutes during off peak driving. The space This cabin was built in 1950 and is an A-Frame with charm. Two small bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. The house has heat during the winter and operable windows, a ceiling fan in the living room and box fans for the bedrooms on the warmer summer days! The lake water will get up to 70 degrees on the surface during the summer but starts off a little cooler. Please note that there are stairs to get into the cabin and once inside. There is private parking for one vehicle that is accessible by a paved hill driveway - turnaround is needed. The parking will be inadequate for a trailer or over-sized vehicle. Guest access There is one house on the property and then the cabin near the beach. The house and cabin have split beach access. Beach use rules are available for review and are generally safety driven. There is a kitchen (range, oven and microwave), living space, dining table, private bathroom and two private bedrooms upstairs. There are boat and jet ski rental facilities in the area. Kayaking, swimming and paddleboarding along the shoreline is popular during the summer so we also offer some stand-up paddleboards (up to two) and kayaks (up to two) for rent as well with advanced notice if you do not have your own. Other things to note The beach cabin has part of the property reserved for its use while the other portion is reserved for the primary residents. The beachfront is for swimming at the tenant's own risk - please swim responsibly. There is a public beach at the park next door that has a large swimming area which offers more space if desired.
