Ashdown Forest - Double Room in Woodland Setting

A warm welcome awaits you at our home, a converted coach house on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. Believed to date back to the 1800s, the house is located on a quiet, private road, ideal for those seeking to combine peace & relaxation, with easy access to local towns & amenities. A breakfast hamper can be provided at an additional charge - please enquire at the time of booking. There is car parking & bike storage on site. Best of all there are fabulous nature trails right on your doorstep. The space Our guest bedroom is a bright and airy double room with a dual aspect and views across the front garden to the woods. A bedroom key is provided for your peace of mind alongside a front door key. Egyptian cotton bedding, fluffy towels and bathrobes and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries are provided as are a hairdryer, first aid and a sewing kit. There are tea and coffee making facilities to suit all tastes just outside your door as well as a small guest fridge. The bedroom has ample drawer and wardrobe space. There is unlimited superfast broadband and a smart television with Sky Q Hub. A collapsible table and chairs can be made available as a workspace if required. A private guest bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle is there for your sole use a few steps along the corridor. It is not ensuite but is just for you to make yourself at home in and enjoy. Guest access Guests are welcome to access the garden and, weather permitting, relax on the front terrace, a wonderfully tranquil spot from which to appreciate the birdsong and, if you are really fortunate, the sight of a passing fox or deer. The gardens offer peace and seclusion and the terrace is the perfect place to unwind and to watch the beautiful sunsets through the trees. Breakfast can be taken in our dining room and, for those wishing to self- cater in the mornings, we can provide crockery and cutlery, alongside a toaster and kettle. Guests are also welcome to use the dining room for other self-catered meals by arrangement. During your stay We are committed to doing all we possibly can to ensure guests thoroughly enjoy their stay. We will do our very best to answer any questions you have prior to arrival and provide local recommendations, as needed, once you are here. We are happy to be available to interact as much (or as little) as you would like. Other things to note CLEANING: To help ensure our listing is as safe as possible, and to help protect our guests’ health as well as our own, we have made a number of covid-related changes. These include enhanced cleaning and the provision of hand-sanitiser and anti-bacterial soaps. FACE COVERINGS: We will happily wear them if guests prefer an extra layer of security. Please just let us know. SOCIAL DISTANCING : No one else will be accommodated here during your stay. As mentioned above, the bathroom is for your sole use. TEA & COFFEE: Tea & coffee making facilities are available to guests. We offer a selection of teas, including herbal and decaffeinated, and a Nespresso coffee machine has been added to our amenities, alongside a small guest fridge. Fresh milk is provided. BREAKFAST HAMPER : We are happy to provide a breakfast hamper (including fresh fruit and berries, yoghurt, a variety of cereals and mueslis, artisan breads, and quality preserves) upon request. This can be arranged at the time of booking at an additional cost of £7.50 per person per night, payable upon departure. Breakfast can be taken in our dining room or, if the weather allows, outside in the garden. Gluten / dairy- free options can also be provided. PLEASE cancel the booking and do not travel if you have Covid 19 symptoms. We certainly undertake to do the same. THE ROAD: Our home is located on a private road, parts of which are unmade. PETS: We have two golden retrievers and an elderly cat and so the home is not suitable for those with pet allergies.
