Oakham House
A sweet, evocative historic house built in 1949, beautifully maintained and remodeled. This wonderful addition to Airbnb has 2 queen bedrooms, a gorgeous antique twin bed, and a detached bunkhouse that sleeps 4. This is perfect for a family, or even two families to share. It’s a peaceful spot with a quiet, enclosed backyard and covered deck, plus off-street parking next to the house. With so many interesting things to see and do in Florence, you'll love returning to the Oakham! I am a book nerd, so I couldn't help but add literary touches throughout the home! I've created cozy reading nooks with comfy chairs in quiet corners. The downstairs bedroom has a secret entrance through a wardrobe that we've lovingly nicknamed the "Narnia" door. There's a conveniently placed game/puzzle table next to our little electric fireplace, and under the window for lots of light. It's not all about books though. We've set up a fun little bunkhouse (with its own push-button lock) in the backyard with two sets of bunk beds and a TV to watch movies or connect your gaming system to. Blue-ray player, movies, and HDMI cable provided. And last but not least... bonus points if you can identify the literary reference in the name of the house! Guests have complete privacy. Keyless entry allows guests to enter seamlessly and at any hour of the day. No need to worry about picking up a key upon your arrival. The host is off-site but lives in town and can be available at a moment's notice if needed. Oakham House is situated within walking distance of Historic Old Town District in Florence Oregon, where so many wonderful restaurants, art galleries, and local shops are located. We are located one block from the boardwalk, and one street over is the Port, where people launch their boats. River Roasters is a wonderful place to get your morning brew and sit on the riverside deck. Stop by Waterfront Depot for a delicious riverfront dining experience.
