The space The old Bantin train station is no ordinary vacation home – it is a place with soul. Built in 1895 in Prussian brick architecture and now a listed building, this house tells of a time when travel was slower and arrival still had meaning. During the careful renovation in 2005, the original style elements were preserved: the old ticket counter, historic wooden doors and floors are still a noticeable part of history. Where trains once shunted, a spacious living room opens in the former locomotive and freight shed. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the landscape into the house, the view wanders over fields and meadows. Two large sofas, a fireplace, a movie screen with a projector and air conditioning create a space to get together, switch off and feel good – in all seasons. The open-plan kitchen is slightly elevated in the former interlocking room. From here you have everything in view and at the same time feel the special character of the place. It is fully equipped and invites you to a relaxed start to your day with the breakfast table. In the former first-class waiting room there is a large dining table for long evenings, good food and conversations that make you forget the time. Underfloor heating in the kitchen, bathroom and living area provides additional comfort. The two bedrooms are located in the former counter area of the station. Between them, the original ticket counter has been preserved – a silent witness of days gone by, which can now be closed by blinds. Both rooms have patio doors directly onto the former platform. The area covered with small cobblestones is now a protected place for barbecues, open-air conversations and quiet summer nights. All rooms are located on the ground floor, the upper floor is rarely used – you are usually all to yourselves. On the approximately 4,000 m² property, a large outdoor pool awaits for your own use in July and August. Children will find space to play, adults space to breathe. Nature shapes the rhythm all around. Migratory birds rest on the fields, deer venture into the garden. Horses graze opposite, behind the house there is an organic farm with free-range chickens – fresh eggs for your breakfast are included. Railways no longer stop here. Only occasionally does a single freight train pass by – quietly, rarely and almost nostalgically.
