THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN ON A TRIP IS FOR NOTHING TO HAPPEN AT ALL Welcome to Ramajal Rural: A few years ago now my partner and I visited the region of Las Hurdes for the first time. We were impressed by the beauty, greenness, friendliness and simplicity of its people, fauna, flora, natural pools.... Since then, over 11 years ago, our objective was to create some country houses, to discover this wonder from. Time has passed but this area's ability to amaze travellers has not. You simply need to take a look at the photo album on our website to realise this. There are many walks to take and places to see, which may lead us into a frenzied attempt to discover everything in a short space of time, but we mustn't fall into this trap, as all we will achieve is a collection of places, locations, hundreds of digital photos, guides and leaflets... but we'll lose the true essence of this region, we won't experience the feelings of authentic rural life, the feeling of being surrounded by one of the few natural orchards still in existence in Spain, the feeling of tranquillity, that feeling of having gone back in time, those pleasant feelings you get when you smell rockrose and heather. To achieve all these feelings you have to admire, experience, feel, blend into the surroundings, interact with the people and above all do it at your own pace. BECAUSE THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN ON A TRIP IS FOR NOTHING TO HAPPEN AT ALL Ramajal rural consists of five houses, situated in the Esperabán valley at the foot of the river Horcajo, a river which gives its name to the town in which it is situated, which belongs to the municipality of Pinofranqueado, the nerve centre of the region of Las Hurdes. We hope that this combination will be entirely to your liking and that you can enjoy and appreciate Las Hurdes in its purest state.
