Parking for 2/3 cars. 1 min walk to children's play park, tennis court, village hall & shop. 5 mins to human & dog friendly, stylish pub, The Ship. 1 mile, easy walk along a footpath to the beautiful, sandy Brancaster beach. Fab bus service to more beaches, shops & pubs in Burnham Market, Thornham, Holkham & Wells. Great cycling routes. On Insta. The space Thistlewood Cottage is in a brilliant location to easily access Brancaster beach on foot (approx. 1 mile walk) in the ***top 20 UK beaches 2024 as voted by Telegraph Travel :-)***. The Coastal Path is nearby for easy walks to superb pubs or, for trips further afield, the Coastal Hopper bus stop is very close by to get you to Burnham Market, Holkham, Wells and more. Thistlewood is large, comfortable and cosy with open plan living spaces and a log burner/fire for the cooler months. In Summer, the large patio has an 8 seater dining set and the garden has a lovely, large fenced area (secure for most dogs but please check before leaving them unattended). There is a charcoal barbecue. The two downstairs bedrooms share an en suite bathroom with large, low profile shower which means guests who can't manage stairs or families who want to be close to children are ideally suited. As well as the main living areas there is a sunny conservatory with sofas and chairs, a small room with TV and sofa-bed (ideal for children to watch DVD's or use their own gaming consoles or for adults to work), a handy larder for food storage, a ground floor loo/cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. There is a shed in the garden with a freezer and table tennis table which is also very private storage for bikes. Guest access Guests may use all areas of the house. Other things to note Two travel costs available on request. Use of a sofa bed and/or trundle bed for two children under 11 years of age strictly by arrangement only. You will need to provide your own additional bedlinen and towels. Maximum of two dogs by prior arrangement. Dogs must be up to date with all worming, flea and vaccinations. Guests must be super-vigilant to ensure dogs do not enter bedrooms, sit on furniture, leave puddles in the house and that all poo is cleared from the garden before the end of their stay. Security deposit for dogs in case of additional cleaning costs/damage. The BBQ is charcoal There is a cafetiere for making coffee but no other coffee machine Please note that a gardener visits fortnightly on a Monday to perform essential garden maintenance.
