Little Lynstead was formerly an annexe of Lynstead House. We are located a 10 mins stroll from the seafront at Walmer and the majestic Walmer Castle. The property is cosy and comfy designed to be a home from home by the seaside. The space Your hosts - Barry & Richard welcome you to Little Lynstead at Lynstead House in Upper Walmer a stones throw from Walmer Station and a stroll from the beach. Little Lynstead has a large lounge with a 3 piece suite (the sofa is a sofa bed), a small 60’s style dining table and chairs. The property was recently decorated and furnished. There is a selection of black and white photo canvases of Deal. The lounge has a “nest” thermostat for the radiators as well as a small flame effect electric fire. There’s a TV with Sky Q, as well as a DVD player and selection of films, a Wii games console and an iPod docking station all connected to a Bose surround sound system. The lounge and bedroom have large plantation shutters. Please be considerate with the TV and music volume out of courtesy to our neighbours as it is a quiet neighbourhood. Our decor is “eclectic” and fun with some seaside touches. We wanted to create a warm and welcoming space that is comfy and a home away from home, whilst being a little bit quirky. You enter directly in from the front garden. Off the lounge is a fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, washer/drier, kettle and toaster. There’s cutlery and crockery for up to 4 visitors as well as tumblers, wine and champagne glasses. We provide tea and coffee, including a Nespresso machine. Off the lounge is a double bedroom with a double bed, hanging space and hooks and space for your luggage. There is a wall mounted “dressing table” with a hairdryer. Note that the bedroom is “snug” and there is only a relatively small gap from the end of the bed to the wall. The room is therefore unsuitable for anyone in a wheelchair. The bedroom has a radio clock alarm and a Bose docking station for iPods. The room has sockets with USB charging points both sides of the bed for phones etc. Off the bedroom is the shower room. On the left side is a shower cabinet and on the right the toilet and bidet. We provide shower gel and shampoo. Please leave what you don’t use for the benefit of the next guests. We provide towels and toilet paper. Please note that hot water and heating comes from the boiler in the basement of Lynstead House so the water may take a few moments to get to temperature. The property is No Smoking/No Vaping, but you can smoke at the front of the property but please dispose of all butts etc.. Please be considerate to our neighbours when using the outside space. We have plenty of parking at the property. Please park under the tree and the front of the garden. We typically park in front of Lynstead House and need access to the gates and garages so please park with consideration. When Little Lynstead is occupied we will open both front gates to make it easier for you to drive in and out. The garages and rear gardens of Lynstead House are not available for guests. Well behaved dogs can be accommodated but note that you walk into the property direct from the front garden. We both love dogs but ask that they are not left alone in the property. Guest access The front garden is shared with Lynstead House and Little Lynstead is entirely self contained. Other things to note There is so much to do in the local area from walks along the beach, great restaurants, pubs. local art scene, history, castles, great golf courses and wonderful nature. Walmer and Deal are so friendly and most shops, pubs and cafes are dog friendly. We are a short drive to the port of Dover and the EuroTunnel at Folkestone.
