Farm stay in Sierra Vista

We are very transparent about our ranch, and want you to know everything you need to know in order to have a memorable stay. The space Important: The cabin is not available just yet. We are putting the finishing touches on it. The cabin is a separate room behind the main house, and at this time, you will have to use the bathroom facilities inside the main house. It will have its own facilities in the future. IMPORTANT: Only 2 guests per room! Please NO children in the cabin. No exceptions. We are not equipped with the safety features recommended by Safe Kid Worldwide organization that AirBnB is affiliated with! This a small working ranch, and all activities revolve around the comfort and safety of our animals. We keep everything as neat,clean and tidy as possible, but it is a ranch and DUST, DIRT, and ANIMAL SMELLS happen! We have outdoor covered stalls (3) and a corral if you are traveling with your horses. There is a $10 per night fee per horse. You have to bring your own feed and hay. We have water buckets in the stalls and a water trough in the corral. You must care for your horses and clean up after them each day, and when you check out. We have an area to park smaller horse trailers. There are places to ride in our area. Guest access Guests have access to everything in the main house except for our private room and the office. There are several outdoor areas you are welcome to use when you’re not exploring our beautiful countryside. The front porch is a room unto itself, complete with outdoor tv. Coffee and tea are available in the mornings between 7:30am and 9:30am. We also have fruit, granola bars, oatmeal, toast, and muffins available too. If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night we cook a ranch style breakfast the following morning. This breakfast features hearty food that is typical of what was served on a working ranch in the “olden days”, Sausage, eggs, bisquits, gravy, and hash brown. If you are diet conscious, we can recommend restaurants that are more suitable to your needs. Guests are always welcomed to join us for any meal we are having during their stay. We do not have regular meal times, so it would be hit or miss depending on your schedule. You can use the kitchen in the main house, but we need to know in advance of your arrival, that this is a possibility. That way we don’t have conflicting cook times. You must clean up each time you use the kitchen, including washing, drying and putting away anything you use. We do not have a dishwasher. There is also a small Weber grill that you can use. Bring the charcoal!Just make sure you clean it when done so it is ready for the next guests. There is a cooler, you just need to provide the ice. I will do laundry for you upon request for a nominal fee. Other things to note There are farm animals, dogs, and cats on the property. Their well being is our utmost concern, so several times a day, time is devoted entirely to them. Our animals are very social and once you are properly introduced to them you will enjoy each and every one of them. If you want to go in the pens to interact with any of them, just come get one of us to go with you! Remember the MAIN RULE here on the Ranch is ALWAYS CLOSE AND LOCK THE GATE behind you!! You will fall in love with our Livestock Guardians here on the property! The specially bred gentle giants that protect the livestock from predators, are huge loveable fur balls, BUT when it comes to doing their job, they are 100% business. VERY IMPORTANT: These Dogs bark to ward of predators! They ONLY bark if they sense a predator but if you are overly sensitive to animal noises this is NOT the place you want to be! There is tv in the cabin. We have farm fresh eggs available for sale, as well as other specialty foods such as our Spicey Blackberry BBQ Sauce, an outstanding salsa, Spicey meat rubs, homemade vanilla, and other condiments. In the fall we have prickly pear juice available. Please check their availability if interested! During the summer months we also have fresh veggies from the garden available! IMPORTANT: Remember to always use AirBnB to communicate with us, as Email and texting are very unreliable for us. Due to the nature of my job, I am not able to carry a phone with me during working hours.
