A great base from which to explore historic Falaise Castle, Bayeux, and D-Day beaches, Mont-St-Michel, Honfleur, Rouen and Deauville . With 4 spacious suites, each featuring its own en-suite shower room and WC, you'll have ample space to relax and unwind. The layout is deliberately flexible, allowing each family to have their own private areas while still enjoying the communal living spaces. The perfect solution for multi-generational family gatherings or friends' reunions. Enjoy the best of both worlds: relaxation and recreation. The house is situated in a picturesque setting, yet within easy reach of local attractions, activities, and amenities. Bedroom summary: Bedroom 1 is a dual aspect room with a roll top bath overlooking the back garden, with an an ensuite. Bedroom 2 has its own adjoining lounge which has a sofa bed for additional sleeping and its own ensuite. Bedroom 3 and 4 are two double bedrooms in the same suite which share the same bathroom. Each has a separate door off a small lounge area. Bedroom 5 has a big lounge area with additional sleeping and its own ensuite. We can also provide a cot but please bring your own cot linen. Our spacious kitchen and dining room is equipped with the latest modern appliances, you'll find everything you need to cook up a storm. From a range oven and microwave to a dishwasher, fridge, wine fridge, and coffee machine (Tassimo), this kitchen is designed to make your culinary journey seamless. The dining table can accommodate 12 adults, making it the perfect space for family gatherings and celebrations. And when the evening gets cooler, snuggle up by the large log burner, providing a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Whether you're a foodie or just love to cook, this kitchen is sure to impress. There is a study/hallway with table football fun for all ages Utility/laundry room with a freezer, fridge, washer, dryer and WC. Unwind in style in our invitingly cosy lounge, where plush sofas and a vast collection of books and board games provide the perfect setting for a cozy evening in. With a comfortable sofa and dining area nestled beneath the shade of a picturesque pergola, you can enjoy the fresh air even on the hottest summer days. Bowls and swing ball are available. (Separate cottage which is not rented, this is where we live and is not attached to the main house - although we walk across the driveway to access it) Other things to note Our 3 story 1858 country home is full of character and rustic charm. Please note that this historic property does have its quirks, including uneven floors, creaky floorboards and some narrow stairs - although the main double-bedroom with roll-top bath and shower room is accessed via a wider staircase, making it easier to navigate. However, we do recommend this property for those who are comfortable with stairs and are comfortable with a little rustic charm. We're situated in the heart of a small village, so we're not suitable for large parties. We respect our neighbours and expect our guests to do the same. Noise levels should be kept reasonable to avoid disturbing those around us. If you're looking for a unique countryside experience, we would be delighted to welcome you to enjoy our house.
