Cosy ‘Hideaway’ Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales

Escape to the Countryside at The Hideaway Cottage. Tucked away on a small farm in Nidderdale this is a Perfect place to relax and unwind and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales. A peaceful rural setting with fantastic local walks, breathtaking views and cosy pubs and cafes. An ideal retreat away from busy everyday lives. Situated within easy access to many local villages such as Pateley Bridge, Knaresborough, Skipton, Harrogate and Grassington. Perfectly situated for a bit of everything. The space The Hideaway is a self contained cosy property, quiet and private with separate parking off road, entrance, garden and with beautiful views over the Dales The local walks and villages are all close to hand and a pleasure to visit, including access to The Pennine Way. We are nearby to several beautiful Resovoirs, and if you are a Dark Skies searcher you will find this a perfect spot for admiring the Milky Way on a clear evening. Thruscross Resovoir is also a great place to visit to watch this. Hot Chocolate in local Cafes, cosy pubs with open fires and fabulous home cooked meals and beautiful scenery are all on our doorstep The Spa town of Harrogate is within a 20 minute drive, with an abundance of Shops, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes. The famous Bettys Tea Rooms, Turkish Baths, Harlow Car Gardens and the Royal Pump Rooms. Separately situated with a garden and private seating area, it is perfect for that last minute getaway . Cosy and equipped with all that you need you can come and go as you please or sit down, relax and reboot . A welcome pack is provided with basic essentials for when you arrive with milk, bread or croissants, eggs, biscuits, butter.... you can then just gather your thoughts after your journey with a snack and a brew. For cyclists, we do have indoor areas for your bikes. There is an abundance of information in a folder for guests to use... Places to eat/visit etc... and many recommendations from other guests. We do accept small dogs. But please note that we have 3 family dogs here and free roaming chickens, so your dog must be well behaved and kept on a lead, and sociable with other dogs. Please bring extra towels of your own to wash and clean your pet before access into the cottage. There is a tap outside for convenience. Guest access There is a separate garden area which can be used by guests with a private seating area (with beautiful views, picnic bench , BBQ area and seating ) Parking area for guests outside the property. Other things to note There is a garden area for you to enjoy , overlooking the Dales and views through our wood . On an evening this is a very pleasant space to watch the sunset. Parking is available for guests outside the cottage . The nature of the building is sloping ceilings as noted on our photos . This does not affect your stay . The shower is full height and so are all doorways . Should you have any concerns please contact me . Please note: Takeaway delivery is not available here. There are local Takeaways available for collection in Pateley Bridge ( approx 10 minutes drive). Deliveries from Major Supermarkets are available here, i am happy to take delivery and place in the cottage should you wish to arrange this before your arrival. Amazon / Evri/ DPD also deliver here daily. We do provide towels and bedding to ease your travel packing . Tea / coffee / hot chocolate /toilet roll / Hairdryer. PETS: We are open to having small dogs here now, that must be kept on leads at all times. We have free roaming chickens and our own 3 Labs are usually wandering around. All dogs must be cleaned throughly before entering the cottage ( we can provide a hose pipe and towels.) Please confirm with us the breed of your dog before booking.
