Located off the road in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Non-smoking/vaping and no pets. Our home is from 1912 and this cottage belonged to the caretaker originally. It is completely separate from the main house and does not share any walls. Our space has a kitchenette, full bath with tub, and one queen size bed. The cottage is a small studio and will fit one person comfortably or two people cozily. The bathroom includes shampoo/ conditioner/soap, lotion, and hair dryer. The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, french press or pour-over coffee, toaster, microwave, and electric kettle. Please note that we do not have a set up for more elaborate cooking. We use compostable garbage bags and eco-friendly soaps. Snacks, a variety of teas, and coffee provided. We have a down comforter for cool months and lighter comforter for warm months and memory foam pillows on the bed. Fresh towels and bedding are available upon request. The space is equipped with high speed WiFi and smart TV with Roku with access to Netflix and Hulu, or you can sign into an app of your choice. We also have a few games to play and a record player with a selection of vinyl. There is a private garden patio for relaxing outdoors with chairs and table. The patio is completely fenced in with your own parking space for a single car. Fresh herbs such as rosemary, lavender, mint, and thyme are growing as well as a gorgeous old grapevine that produces an abundance of delicious grapes you may eat in the summer. There are also additional outdoor lights for enjoying beautiful evenings. Our own backyard is beyond the fence through an access gate and we will not enter the space for the duration of your booking unless requested. You will be able to access the private parking space, the patio, and the cottage. No access from the front of the house. You will have complete privacy in the cottage and patio. We will be available if you need anything. We offer completely contactless self check-in so feel free to arrive at your convenience. We are in old town West Medford approximately 7 blocks from the historic downtown area. Most of the homes in the neighborhood are over 100 years old and many have open porches. Nights are quiet here and we feel very safe. There are many yummy restaurants in the area as well. Close to I-5 access and 15 minutes to the airport. You can walk or drive straight into downtown Medford in minutes or take a bus, Uber or taxi into Jacksonville or Ashland. A shuttle is also available to and from the airport. We are only a couple hours from Crater Lake National Park, Redwood National Park and the coast, Mt. Shasta and close to many scenic rivers and lakes. We have pets on the property on the other side of the fence in our backyard (dogs, cat, chickens). There are no roosters. You may hear animal noises occasionally. The bathroom door is not a solid door - see pictures. It is wood with slats, so keep that in mind if you are very sound sensitive. A/C and shadecloth over the outdoor table are removed during the cold months.
