Idyllic and Secluded Lakeside Lodge

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Taylor’s Lodge is set in beautiful surroundings overlooking a private lake. We have ducks, chickens, two cats and a friendly dog. Enjoy feeding the fish, you might even see the heron on his daily visit! No fishing please. We are set in 4 acres with beautiful walks to Buxted Park, Ashdown Forest. There are two pubs within a short walk, both excellent food. Our lodge is fitted out to provide a comfortable stay with nature in abundance. The space Taylor's Lodge is equipped with kitchen facilities including an oven, sink, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and a microwave. The bedroom provides a comfortable double bed. The bathroom includes a hot shower, toilet and sink. There is plenty to keep you occupied with a boat on the lake, feeding the fish, relaxing in the hammock, lay on the sun loungers, feed the ducks, fire up the fire pit (logs available at £10 a crate) or even relax and watch a bit of telly in the Lodge. A Charcoal BBQ is available on the decking (please bring your own charcoal). There is also plenty to see locally including: Buxted Park Hotel (direct walk through woods and fields) Wilderness Woods (6min drive) Ashdown Forest (5-10 min drive) Sheffield Park Uckfield Town (5 min drive) with a Picture House, Leisure Centre and plenty of restaurants. Hever Castle Bluebell Railway Tunbridge Wells, Lewes and Brighton all lovely places to visit (within 30 mins) Guest access There is easy access and on site parking available. Other things to note We live on site so there is always someone here to help should you have any problems. Buxted Train Station is 5 mins walk away, however we'd be happy to provide a collect/drop off service to save anyone carrying bags or struggling to find us. Please note we are located next to a classic car restoration business so there may be occasional machinery noise during working hours but perfectly quiet after then.
