Description
Guest House Frata invites you to experience our modern-rustic decorated mountain guest house, located in the middle of forest. Here time runs differently. Stop and enjoy in beautiful nature around our place - you won't regret it. The space In this place, as early as the 19th century, there was an old forest cottage, where the Auersperg forest logger was located in the Brezova riba region. Auerspergi were the most influential noble family in Slovenia and one of the richest and most influential aristocratic families in the Austrian Empire. During the Second World War, NOB activists and Partisans gathered in a forest cabin. In 1942, during the Italian offensive, the cottage was burnt to the ground. After the Second World War, the cottage was restored and a new Partizanski dom or the Frata Tourist Center was built, which was designed for catering activities along the famous Trdinova pešpota. In memory of the events of World War II, a monument was built in the immediate vicinity of the house. In 1992, Frata's home was again burned to the ground, and the renovation was given to his present image. Today, the Frata home is a tourist facility over which many footpaths have been passed: the turning point of the European footpaths E7, Trdinova pot, the Ljubljana-Zagreb hiking trail and the forest footpath Straža - Frata. Guest access Dom Frata is accessible from several directions: Žužemberk, Prečna, Novo mesto and the path can be tackled in several ways, namely on foot, horse, bike and for those who swear by the comfort, as well as by car.
