Welcome to our reed hut, right on Lake Neusiedl. The reed chalet is located in the middle of the reed belt above the water. A larch wood path leads to the fully equipped chalet, which is built on a large larch wood platform above the water in the reed bed on Lake Neusiedl. On the front you can climb directly into the natural pool (0.5 m) and take the small rowboat across the canal to the lake. The space The Mountains & Lakes reed hut in Rust offers an extraordinary natural experience directly in the reed bed of Lake Neusiedl on 38 m² of living space and a 120 m² larch wood deck. The chalet has air conditioning for heating and cooling as well as an electric awning for pleasant comfort in all seasons. The open living room with gallery includes a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave/oven combination, electric stove and all kitchen appliances), a double bed, a sofa bed and an elevated sleeping gallery with another double bed (access via ladder – not suitable for small children or people with reduced mobility). The chalet has a compact bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside you will find an outbuilding with a hot water shower, a lounge, sun loungers and a shaded terrace with a dining table – ideal for relaxing over the water. The private canal takes you directly out onto the open lake with a small rowboat and makes the location a unique experience. All beds are spatially in an open concept: 1 double bed (180×200) ground level 1 sofa bed (140×200) on the ground floor 1 double bed (180×200) on the gallery (access via ladder) Guest access You can park for free in the large parking lot of the Rust beach. With the chip you receive together with the keys, you can pass through the barrier. From there, a short path leads you over a small bridge and through the gate of the Romantika 1 complex. Then go over a larch path built on piles through the reeds directly to our reed hut. In total, the walk is about 150 meters. Other things to note Please note that the reed bed is not only the habitat of numerous bird species, but - depending on the season - can also accommodate mosquitoes. We therefore recommend bringing sufficient mosquito repellent. Due to the natural environment, seasonal straw residues and pollen can be deposited on the platform as well as in the chalet. The Katamaran restaurant is about 100 meters away as the crow flies. Occasionally there is live music that can be heard in the cabin.
