Other things to note There are many good walks close to the house - two good beaches 2 km from the house - to the east and west. There is a very cosy farm shop with wine and delicacies on Stengadevej 3 - which is open until 18. In the city are two cafes, the Sugar Factory and the Orangery, two restaurants, the General and Tranekær Kro. The general - an old horse stable just downstairs Tranekær Castle is a really nice eatery! In addition, there are sights like Tranekær Castle surrounded by park with Landart sculptures - a hike around Castle Lake is an experience. Furthermore, the Medical Gardens are worth a visit.
