La Flor Agroecological Farm - Yiguirro Cabin

We are happy to invite you to our community which focuses on sustainability, education, and a healthy lifestyle. You have a private cabin on the 15 hectare property with options to explore beautiful forests, meet interesting people, and relax in peace. We offer vegetarian meals from the garden, classes in dance, yoga, permaculture, and languages (Spanish, English, and French). A breakfast with fresh fruits is included and you can enjoy a delicious lunch and/or dinner for $7/adult. The space Since the owner Brigitte purchased the 30 acre property 19 years ago, 20 acres have been reforested. Our farm community practices permaculture, organic gardening, bio-construction, yoga, and dance. We have horses, chickens, ducks, and goats. We are located in the picturesque mountains of Paraíso, Cartago. Your cabin has two rooms and a bathroom. The rooms are more rustic with average beds and no space heating or cooling. You can expect hot showers, shared Wifi, and laundry facilities. The farm is well-located for exploring other attractions like Irazú Volcano, Prusia Forest, Tapantí National Park, waterfalls, hot springs, and more. Guest access You have access to organic and medicinal gardens, farm animals, a 10-hectare forest with trails to a waterfall, outdoor kitchen, community house, botanical forest, and other shared spaces. Other things to note This community has volunteer and education programs. There is typically a mix of guests, volunteers, and residents living and working on the farm. We offer discounts for groups and families. We are not a luxury resort; we hope not to attract clientele who expect luxury. Insects and wild life can be found throughout the property. We've seen sloths, armadillos, coyotes, snakes, hummingbirds, butterflies, and colorful bird species like the Motmot and Montezuma Oropendola. Breakfast is included with all stays. We have a delicious vegetarian kitchen and can cook lunch and dinner for all guests upon request.
