We are located just a short drive from local beaches and hikes on the north shore of Kauai in the neighborhood of Wainiha, which is 15 minutes from Hanalei town. The home is surrounded by lush tropical jungle, fruit trees and sweeping jungle views from every window. Full kitchen with all the amenities for cooking large meals after a day at nearby Ke'e beach or hiking the Kalalau trail. Expansive views of the mountains and jungle from every window. Sit, relax and watch exotic tropical birds fly through the neighboring jungle during the day and listen for the waves crashing at night. The rental is on the top floor of a multi unit residence. The driveway is the only shared space with another house that is detached and private. Washer and dryer in the house. We have items such as yoga mats, beach towels and board games and also snorkel/beach gear by request. We are an eco-friendly destination. We have made a conscious choice to operate our endeavor in a completely green and sustainable manner. This means, among other things that we keep our cottage pesticide and insecticide free. Subsequently you might see insects in our home, along with their charming 'predators' the geckos. Please keep in mind that the geckos help keep the bug population down and that they are our friends. We are a the perfect destination for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path alternative to the hotel and resort experience. You will have access to the entire house Owner lives on island less than 30 minutes away and is available to offer help throughout your stay. Wainiha is a peaceful and family friendly community that is far from bustling and closer to country living. After 8 pm it gets very sleepy quiet and there is very little motion on our street. Our home is not walking distance to any beaches or shopping but a short drive to both. Note: that wifi on the north shore of Kauai isn't abundant and that when you arrive you might not have cell service. Please have all information available to you before arriving. You acknowledge that there are hazards such as bodies of water, noxious plants, and insects that are beyond the control of the owner and you assume all responsibility for your own safety. A rental car is necessary. Enjoy the north shore and its nearby towns of Ha'ena and Hanalei both a short drive away. The town of Hanalei is roughly a 15 minute drive. Great location to surfing and snorkeling a Tunnels beach or kayaking and paddle boarding in Hanalei Bay.   Enjoy the local food and crafts at Hanalei town and the not to be missed Saturday farmers market.
