The Pine Cone Cabin

The pine Cone Cabin is tucked into a hillside of towering lush pines overlooking the beautiful St Croix Flowage. Get ready for a most relaxing encounter with nature....eagles flying in and around you, swans occasionally floating along the shoreline (besides our plastic swan friends, lol) and loons calling softly through the night. ..Sunsets and moon rises on the flowage can be mesmerizing, especially when sitting by a warm campfire. The space The Pine Cone Cabin is one of two getaways at "Wasko's Sky Blue Water Retreat" it is a very cozy, warm little cabin with all you need to enjoy your stay. Full kitchen, bath w shower and two bedrooms ..one full bed..other with one twin and a full. We have rollaways and full couch for extra sleeping space. Guest access There is free access to kayaks, canoe, paddle board, paddle boat and free wood for your campfires. There is a small playground with swings, trampoline, badminton net and other yard games on the premises. There is also a public boat landing one mile from the Pinecone for those who want to bring their own boats and dock them at the cabin. We also have pontoon rental available to each cabin by the day or week. Because The Pine Cone is a four season cabin it provides a great base for many winter activities such as ice fishing just steps away from the cabin including a warm ice house to do your fishing in comfort. Also, close access to trails for ATVs and snowmobiles and several great eating places around the lake, such as 'The Beerstone Bar and Grill'' (great pizza..and walking distance from cabin) , and the legendary 'Buckhorn Bar and Grill' (approx. 3 miles south off East Flowage on hwy 53). Feel free to ask us about swimming areas in and around the Flowage. Other things to note Although we want you to enjoy all the water fowl and wildlife you may experience at the Pine Cone..we ask that you do not feed any geese as they tend to make a mess of the lake shore and carry desease..but please feel free to chase them away! Lol
