The house sits close to the main road and is only a few minutes from downtown Battle Ground or the I-5 freeway which can take you south to Vancouver Portland or 2 exits up to the Ilani Casino. You may hear roosters crowing or turkey gobbling in the early morning. Sometimes a tractor during the day. If you plan to tour the acreage and visit with the animals, please be cognizant that you will get poop on your shoes, as this is a hobby farm. There is a large sink in the mud room for cleaning shoes if needed. During the rainy winter months there can be a lot of mud in the back pastures and it will be too muddy to visit the pond. The chickens, turkeys, and sheep are fairly harmless but the birds may peck if sitting on eggs or scratch if cornered. There are ways to get hurt, such as getting a scratch on a piece of wire. It is a quarter mile back to the pond, and you must go through many gates. Children must be accompanied. Depending on the time of year there can be baby chicks, young turkeys, newborn lambs, fresh fruit, vegetables, and berries. If you plan to wander beyond the immediate area around the house, I will need to take you on a tour first. Guest access You have the entire house to yourself and the yard around it. You will also have the option to wander the grounds, beyond the fences, after a brief tour (request if interested). Access is not available to the detached garage or any outbuildings.
