Description
A charmingly converted Barn in the heart of the Kent countryside yet within easy reach of many towns, castles, the Eurotunnel and London. It is comfortable, light, airy and well equipped with large grounds, a bountiful vegetable garden and greenhouse to wander around. An ideal base for exploring or purely to relax! Your hosts live next door and are at hand to answer any queries or give advice. The space The Barn has a comfortable sitting and dining area downstairs as well as it's own outdoor sitting area. Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor, next to a bathroom (shower with a pull down seat, loo & basin). Door frames downstairs are wide enough for wheelchairs and a small ramp leads up to the front door. Bedroom 1 and 3 are upstairs with a bathroom (bath/shower over the bath, loo & basin). Bedroom 2 has twin beds but these can be converted into a superking size bed. There is plenty of storage throughout. A cot, (there is space in both the upstairs bedrooms), a bedguard and high chair can be provided. There is central heating upstairs, underfloor heating downstairs and continuous hot water. Guests are welcome to use the entire garden and grounds. You can walk out onto the lane and access fields with footpaths. It is very peaceful but very accessible to tourist sites and towns. We have our own woods which are perfect for exploring and den-building for children although Adult guests are responsible for them. Depending on the season guests are welcome to pick produce from the vegetable garden and greenhouse as well as fruit trees. Guest access All of the grounds are accessible. We have a large vegetable garden, woods, grounds and sun traps. Guests are very welcome to roam around but their children are their responsibility. We have a very friendly & gentle black Labrador, Elvis, & whilst we appreciate that some people are not dog lovers please remember that this is his home too. You may come across him lying in the sun or being walked around the woods. He is excellent with children. Other things to note Please note we own a very friendly absolutely harmless black Labrador. He is very good with nervous people but we can not keep him shut away all day. He will be out & about & always happy to say hello.
