This mid-century home (built in 1959) is fully upgraded and remodeled, and features a modern and well-equipped kitchen, with luxury baths complete with personal amenities to enhance your experience in this splendid, island-style home. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and private. Three sides of this property border natural landscape; there are abundant trees and a creek running alongside the home, and the setting is luxurious, peaceful and private. The unique beauty of this property makes it truly a one-of-a-kind experience. All that is missing is the ocean! The third bedroom has been converted into a Zen room where you can relax and enjoy quiet time in meditation, with space for stretching, yoga, or simply a get-away space to enjoy quiet time with the tranquil colors and peaceful atmosphere. The garden off the master suite seasonally features colorful tropical flowers and ferns, with fountains and a sitting area to relax and listen to the water, the birds and the wind in the trees. The outdoor shower is an experience you will not forget! Whether enjoying an early morning shower with the sunlight reflecting through the colored glass or delighting in the gentle lighting and moonrise at night, this rain-shower will transport you to a place of tranquility. As my guests you will have access to all areas of the home described above, as well as the laundry room off the kitchen, with a full-size washer and dryer unit. There is parking available on the driveway and the street. The front yard is beautifully landscaped and faces the sunset. The living room and master bedroom face the sunrise, and the master bedroom french doors also face east and open to the hot tub area. You have a full-size closet in the master bedroom and a smaller closet in the second bedroom. There are dressers in both bedrooms with plenty of drawer space. The Zen room closet is reserved for the owner's personal things. There is no garage access. The property manager lives across the street and is available should you have any special requests or need any assistance during your stay. Pre-arranged housekeeping service is also available should you wish, at an additional charge. Someone will be available by phone or in-person for you during your stay and we will do our best to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Safeway grocery store, Starbucks, the post office, 24-hour Fitness and several churches are within a short walking distance of my home. This neighborhood was built in the 1950's and many of the neighbors have lived here all of their lives. We are a close-knit community. There is an amazing 200 year old massive cork oak tree around the corner that you must see! The mulberry trees in my front yard are 60 years old and are lovely year round. I take pride in maintaining a beautiful landscape in my yards and hope you will enjoy the flora and fauna as I do. Sacramento is known as "the city of trees" and they are abundant in my neighborhood. The neighborhood is very quiet and we all look after each other here. I have lived here many years and treasure the friends I have made through getting to know my neighbors. My neighborhood is near to where the Sacramento and American Rivers converge near downtown. There is easy access to several freeways, including I-80, I-5 and Highway 50. Downtown Sacramento is just a few miles away, and usually about a 15 minute commute. San Francisco is an 80 mile trip, South Lake Tahoe takes less than 2 hours (depending on weather) and Napa Valley and Sonoma are about an hour and a half away. This part of Sacramento, know as Arden-Arcade, is a wonderful springboard to many of the areas that bring people to this region. Gardeners come on Thursday mornings each week somewhere between 9 AM and noon and are generally there for about a half an hour. They will access both the front and back yards.
