The space Bear's Cottage originally built in 1605 once formed part of the rectory on the Bretforton Manor Estate. The cottage is situated within the Conservation Area of Bretforton and adjacent to Bretforton Manor painting a tranquil picture overlooking the ancient 13th Century Church of St. Leonards. Bretforton recently featured on Penelope Keith's 'Village of the Year' Channel 4 TV series in January 2018. Bretforton is a beautiful village bustling with activity and boasts over forty grade 1 and grade 11 listed properties. The local pub ''The Fleece Inn'' (awarded Daily Telegraph/ Sawdays Pub of the Year 2019) is steeped in history, originally built in the early 15th century it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1977. A vibrant part of the community and popular for good food and real ales, the pub attracts loyal locals and visitors from all over the world. There is always something going in the village with the pub at the centre of everything, we have our own Silver Band (the only one left in Worcestershire) and frequently have dancing from visiting Morris Dancers. The annual musical festival 'Bret Fest' is an occasion not to miss and is free for everyone to enjoy - holiday makers included! Honeybourne train station is 2 miles away and has trains to London Paddington (1 hr 45). London Heathrow airport is about 2 hours by car. Birmingham airport is 25 miles away. Oxford is 1 hour away and can also be reached by train. However, being just 6 miles from Broadway and Chipping Campden, 12 miles from Stratford-on-Avon, 18 miles from Cheltenham, 30 miles from Birmingham and 40 miles from Oxford, the best of the Cotswolds is on your doorstep.
