Our rooftop has incomparable views of the Harbor, Sailboats, Lighthouse and Coast Guard Station. The Plaid Cabin is on the main level of The Mayhew property, it’s a studio style 1 bedroom 1 bath unit and has a Twin over Queen bunk and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, fridge, coffee maker + ground coffee, plates utensils, coffee cups and glasses. It has a warm cozy vibe. The unit doesn’t have direct views of the lake, but you can experience it all from our rooftop decks. This unit is dog friendly. There is a 1 time cleaning fee + tax that is required. Choose the pet option when booking. No cats or any other animals are allowed, 1 dog maximum. The Mayhew Inn is right in the heart of downtown Grand Marais on beautiful Harbor Park. It is a great home base for enjoying the gentle activity of the Village or easily getting away for day trips to the BWCA. Drive up the Gunflint Trail for day adventures and hikes. Even though The Mayhew Inn is right downtown on the harbor front, it is graced with a gorgeous secluded backyard with courtyard areas, rooftop decks with breathtaking views, fabulous restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Your own private campfires in the backyard at night, and watch the stars to wind down your evening. In the evening, step next door to the Gunflint Tavern and enjoy a microbrew, glass of wine or cocktail and live music. Keep in mind you are downtown Grand Marais, so there is daytime activity - shopping, tourists, and a little bit of the nightlife. But that's part of the fun.
