A quiet private annex near the sandy beaches of Marsala, with a garden and a shaded veranda for outdoor living. The accommodation is a fully independent part of the main house and includes a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. "Grandma's House" is located 1.5 km from the sandy beaches of Marsala — less than 5 minutes by car. The nearest one is Tiburon Beach, followed by Gazebo, Lido Delfino and Lido Mediterraneo, all sandy, with free and equipped sections alternating along the coast. We are in the heart of the most authentic and quiet stretch of western Sicily's coastline. The house is fully independent and we improve something every year. It's perfect for two people or a couple with a small child — we offer a cradle and a high chair on request. It includes a living room, a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a little porch, perfect for breakfast or dinner outside. We care about the environment: solar panels, well water. The house was built at the end of '30, a remarkable period in Marsala's wine history. During WWII, grandma Vincenza lived here with her children, keeping the house welcoming for anyone who needed rest. We try to carry on that same spirit of hospitality. Unfortunately, we can't accept pets. Guest access The entire apartment is for guests' exclusive use, with an independent entrance. When possible, we try to be flexible on check-out if no other guests are arriving that day! Please respect the check-in time. To comply with Italian law, we kindly ask you to provide your identification (ID or passport) details. We are required to submit this information to the police headquarters within very strict and legally imposed deadlines before handing over the keys. You will also be asked to sign a short rental agreement ( it only takes a few minutes via form). None of this depends on us — Italian bureaucracy! Thank you for your understanding Other things to note Marsala train station is 5.8 km away, the Cathedral 7.9 km, Marsala harbour 6.4 km. Just 20 meters from the house there is the Autoservizi Salemi bus stop, connecting Marsala with Palermo and Palermo Airport. Timetables are available at autoservizisalemi page: when selecting a ride, click on "Dettagli" to verify it stops at via Mazara/Strasatti. The small and charming Terrenove station is about 1 km away — very romantic, but we recommend checking the timetable carefully, especially in summer due to possible track works. A public shuttle connects the beaches to the town center until 7 P.M (timetable may vary) Based on our guests' experience, car rental prices don't vary much between companies, so it's worth renting directly on arrival — desks are available in the arrivals area at both Trapani and Palermo airports.
