Situated on the east side of the River Dart, in the Bridgetown residential area of Totnes, with the town centre only a 10 minute walk away, the bungalow enjoys lovely views over the town and countryside to Dartmoor in the distance. As an alternative to walking or driving into the town centre, there is a local bus service which can be boarded immediately outside of the bungalow on weekdays. The bungalow has its own driveway affording off-road parking alongside a small lawn to the front while to the rear there is a more secluded larger garden which is a lawn and patio area with garden seating. Inside is bright, airy and of a modern style. An entrance hallway leads into the kitchen and lounge area. The bathroom comprises of bath with electric shower, basin and W.C. There are 2 bedrooms; a single and a double. The double bedroom has French windows leading onto the patio. The property is centrally heated. ( There are no additional charges for the use of electricity, gas and water.) Totnes has a wealth of history behind it with its Castle and Clock Tower (the East Gate) being prominent features of the town. It also has a character and feel all of its own, much of which is due to the influence of the students of Dartington College of Arts of the more recent past. Indeed, nearby Dartington Hall and gardens are well worth a visit. The town is well known for its unique, independent shops and also has plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from. As well as its charm and history, Totnes is also a route centre, lying in the heart of South Devon and having good connectivity to the rest of the area and the larger centres of Torbay, Plymouth and Exeter. The A38 dual-carriageway from both Exeter and the M5 motorway and continuing to Plymouth and on into Cornwall is only 6 miles away, and the main railway to the southwest also serves the town. To the south of the town are the rolling hills and beautiful coastline of the South Hams, and to the north the wonderfully rugged scenery of Dartmoor National Park. Also the popular beaches of Torquay and Paignton are only 7 - 10 miles away. All of these features are within 45 minutes' drive and there is also an extensive network of bus routes to the vast majority of these areas from Totnes.
