A flat for 2 people overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps, located in a vineyard in the heart of the Lavaux vineyard terraces, famous World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Just 10 minutes by car from Montreux (15 by train), 20 minutes from Lausanne, 45 minutes from Geneva airport, a base for excursions in the Alps. 5 minutes by foot and you reach the lakeshore where you can have nice swims in summertime, or visit a charming ancient winemakers village surrounded by vineyards (St-Saphorin Lavaux). Breakfast on request, not included in the price of your night. This flat, called "Suite Lac", is on the upper ground floor of an old renewed house with 2 apartments for guests. It has a magnificent view on Lake Geneva, the Alps, France and the vineyards of Lavaux (famous wine terraces, UNESCO Word's Heritage). The Suite Lac Lac (upper ground floor) counts 1 bedroom with 2 beds (separated or held together) and a living room with sofa and tv + kitchen, toilet & shower. If you choose the Suite Lac, you will have your shower, bathroom-sink, toilet, and your own totally equipped kitchenette (oven, stove, fridge, sink + pans and dishes for 2). There is a nice garden in front, with lawn, where you can lie down on a deck chair weather allowing, or eat outside (tables and chairs at your disposal). The beds are made when you arrive. Bed linen and bath towels are included. The cleaning of the flat is also included in the price. Our guests are simply expected to wash their own dishes and glasses and put them back where they belong before check-out. In case you don't need a kitchen, we also have a suite, called Suite Lumière, made for a couple, with a double bedroom (2 additional adjacent bedroom are available so it can welcome a total of 6 people, but they all would have to share the same shower room and 2 toilets) and a dressing area, a bathroom with bathtub and a living room with sofa and tv with coffee machine, kettle, fridge, that has a wonderful 180 degrees view over the vineyards, the lake and the Alps. This one doesn't have a kitchen and can also be rented for less than 3 nights. It is in the main building of the resort, and offers more space. You can at any time have a bottle of the wines made in Burignon. They are proposed in your accommodation as a minibar. There is a great terrace in front of the main house where we serve our wines. It's a winebar, open between May and September, from 5:00 to 9:00 from Thursday to Saturday, sanitary situation & weather allowing. The situation is quiet, rural area, in the middle of the vineyards. Nice walks on easy paths to discover this fantastic man-made landscape, granted UNESCO world heritage site. Great trekking, hiking or mountain biking trails a bit further in the close mountains. The Chillon Castle is only 10 minutes away from here. The Chaplin's World as well (an incredible museum hosted in the very house where Charlie Chaplin lived the 20 last years of his life). In summertime, you can walk to the lake and swim in it. It will take you less than 5 minutes to get to the beach of St-Saphorin Lavaux by foot, 15 minutes to reach the beach of Rivaz, the next village in the direction of Lausanne. The next shop is in Vevey (10 minutes walk + 4 minutes train - one train every hour) or there're 2 grocery stores and an excellent bakery in Chexbres, that you can reach in 5 minutes by car. There are nice restaurants in the area. One very fine and one good and reasonable price in St-Saphorin Lavaux. And another restaurant with a nice terrace is in the next village, 20 minutes walk from our place, in Rivaz (or 5 min. by car). You can easily arrive at our place by train (Vevey train station and then take a taxi to Burignon). Once arrived, with no luggage or just a small backpack, the train station of St-Saphorin Lavaux will be yours. You can walk from there to our place and vice-versa on a very beautiful pathway leading you through the ancient village and through the vineyards. It's a great 10-15 walk, but quite steep... That's why, if your luggage is heavy, we would advise that you choose the train station of Vevey upon arrival, where a taxi can drop you within 5-10 minutes at our place. Drivers, you can park your car down our house, along the main road, and you can park in the Domaine's courtyard to unload your luggage more easily. Le Domaine du Burignon (name of our place) is a small paradise. On sunny days, you can lie on deck chairs in the garden, go for nice walks around our place without a car, have a glass of wine on the terrace. One thing is clear for all our visitors : it would be a pity to stay just for one night ! We have a baby-travel-bed you can borrow on request. WiFi, TV, independent entrance, garden, terrace, children can play in the garden, you can buy and drink wine, since you are among winemakers. Pets not allowed. Smoking not allowed, except outside the buildings. On request, a rich breakfast is served in our reception hall for 16.- chf / person.
