In the Elbtalaue biosphere reserve, not far from the Elbe bike path, you will experience pure tranquility. In the middle of this unique nature, the thatched half-timbered house is located at the foot of a historic windmill. The space The thatched roof house is located on our approximately 6,000 m² natural property on the edge of the village – embedded in grown structures, with lots of space, expanse and old trees. The garden with high-quality garden furniture and comfortable loungers is open to you: Read and swing in the hanging chair while listening to the many songbirds... Breathe deeply, arrive. Enjoy an outdoor breakfast, which I am happy to serve you. Right behind the house begins the Feldmark. When hiking along the Bruchwetter, you will experience nature and silence and with a bit of luck you can observe cranes, herons, kites or storks. The Elbe with its extensive sandy bays can be reached in a few minutes by bike. At the weekend, the barn café in the village invites you to coffee and homemade cake - a nice destination after an extended walk or bike ride. Guest access The high-quality restored house is divided into two living areas. Your apartment with its own entrance offers sufficient privacy and stretches over two levels. The design combines traditional elements such as visible beams with a clear, Nordic-inspired interior and carefully selected natural materials. On the ground floor you will find the stylish bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor, the spacious living area opens under the thatched roof. In the cooler season, the historic green tiled stove provides pleasant warmth. In the bedroom next door, the morning sun greets you. Comfortable deck chairs and garden furniture are available to you in your own garden area. Other things to note As a certified partner company of the biosphere reserve Elbe River Landscape, we operate regionally, ecologically and sustainably. Breakfast is available by pre-order. For this I use healthy and nutritious foods from the region, and depending on the season fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables from the garden. The crispy baked granola, fruit spreads and herbal teas come from our own production, honey from local beekeepers, fresh country eggs from neighbors' free-range chickens.
