Cozy thatched cottage on the Elbe

In the biosphere reserve of the Elbe River landscape, the thatched half-timbered house is located at the foot of a historic windmill, surrounded by a spacious, natural garden. A place for those who want to unwind and enjoy nature. Read and swing in the hanging chair while listening to the many songbirds... Breathe deeply, arrive. Enjoy an outdoor breakfast, which I am happy to serve you. Hamburg and Lüneburg can be reached quickly. The space The thatched-roof cottage is located on our approximately 6,000 m² natural property on the edge of the village – nestled among established structures, with plenty of space, open areas and old trees. The spacious garden with high-quality garden furniture and comfortable loungers is open to you. Right behind the house begins the Feldmark. When hiking along the Bruchwetter, you will experience nature and silence and with a bit of luck you can observe cranes, herons, kites or storks. You can reach the Elbe with its extensive sandy bays and the bathing lakes in just a few minutes. Guest access The high-quality restored half-timbered house is divided into two living areas. The spacious apartment with its own entrance offers you plenty of privacy and stretches over two levels. The design combines traditional elements such as visible beams with a clear, Nordic-inspired interior and carefully selected natural materials. On the ground floor you will find the stylish bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor, the spacious living area opens under the thatched roof. In the cooler season, the historic green tiled stove provides pleasant warmth. In the bedroom next door, the morning sun greets you. Comfortable deck chairs and garden furniture are available to you in your own garden area. Other things to note As a certified partner company of the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve, we operate regionally, ecologically and sustainably. Breakfast is available upon pre-order. For this, I use healthy and nutritious foods from the region and, depending on the season, fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables from the garden. The crispy baked granola, fruit spreads and herbal teas are made in-house, with honey from local beekeepers and fresh free-range eggs.
