This small but very cosy room is overlooking the Nile and is located in a beautiful garden with a 12x5 swimming pool. Enjoy the birds and monkeys in the trees and the otters in the river. Only 5 km away from Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa. The space This room is newly renovated and located in a beautiful garden overlooking the river Nile and is especially designed for people who love nature, birds and a quiet environment. 85 different species of birds have been spotted in the adjacent gardens. The cottage is self catering but a "meal of the day" can also be ordered from the next door retreat centre. If there is little sunshine there may be shortage of hot water for showers. The room is 5 km away from Jinja Town. A boda boda (motorcycle taxi) can be arranged for transport to and from the town to Njeru. A number of a private taxi can also be given to guests. In Jinja, you will find supermarkets and restaurants and of course the famous "Source of the Nile." Swimming and fishing in the Nile are possible and rafting or bird viewing trips can be arranged. The room is small but very cosy and ideal for couples or solo travellers who want to be "away from the busy world." Guest access The guests will enjoy the swimming pool, and the large garden next door with swing beds. There is good access to the river for fishing. The compound and swimming pool are for guests only and not for non-residents. Other things to note Smoking is not allowed in the room. There are a number of tourist attractions such as rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping all within 5 km from the house. A local tourist company can pick guests up from the garden for a 2 hour trip on the River Nile.
