Shipping Container Tiny Home!

Have you wondered what it's like to live in a shipping container home? This light, bright, modern 392 sf micro home is made from a single 45 ft container! It's comfortable, conveniently located, & fun! The space Please read the "Other Things to Note" at the very end of this profile to make sure that the property is a good fit for you (note- the spiral stair and family dogs). Everything about this property is unique! Created from a single 45 ft shipping container, it only has 392 sq. ft., but it lives much larger (the designer once had 12 person dinner party in the house!). Early on, it was nicknamed it the 360 as this is the approximate square footage of the original container before modification. The 360 is a studio, so the beds are both in the main space. The master bed is a traditional queen sized mattress in a bed nook (this means there is access from one side of the bed) and the guest bed is a queen size futon mattress. The base for the guest bed is converted from the couch base (not unlike a pullout couch). The space has a full bath with shower, 17 linear feet of kitchen for cooking, and 160 sq ft of balcony! We have included amenities to make your stay more enjoyable including soft high thread count sheets, thick towels, soft supportive mattress, coffee, cream, sugar, basics for cooking (olive oil, rice, spices...) and lots of extra toiletries stashed under the sink in the bathroom. For those with pet allergies: no pets currently live in the 360, but a kitty lived here in the distant past and past guests like to have one of our dogs over to hang out. Guest access You have access to everything in the 360, the 360 balcony, and the patio space beneath it. If there is anything in the fridge, please feel free to drink or eat it if you'd like. The main house spaces including deck and hot tub are off limits to guests. Other things to note ACCESSIBILITY The main access for the 360 is a spiral staircase; this can be challenging, especially with luggage. Due to this, my home is not well suited to those with limited mobility. DOGS There are two dogs who live on the property. They both are rescues and are rather shy, and can be barky, but always from a distance. We provide treats for you, but don’t get your hopes too high they will come hang out. If you are afraid of dogs, their presence might make staying here unpleasant for you. PARKING Street parking is available right in front of the house. Please be savvy and don't leave valuables in plain sight inside your car. There has only been one car broken into in the 13 years that we have been here, but it occurred when someone left a backpack in view. SOUNDS/NOISE In addition to the dogs (be mindful walking in the grass), you'll share the yard with us and our guests (including teen-agers). This means that we may be out in the yard, especially on Saturday. The 360 is in a relatively urban area and so you might also hear urban sounds like cars, dogs, occasional sirens, 18 wheelers, etc. PHOTOS - updates We have moved a curtain to provide better access to the closet and added a slipcover to the couch for cleanliness, but outside of this, the pictures should be representative.
