Please note that sheets and towels and end of stay cleaning are optional extras NOT included in the price quoted, as many people prefer to bring their own and do their own end of stay cleaning. They are however available for hire if wished (20€/pers/semaine )and we will do the end of stay cleaning at a price of 90€ The charm of "Le Pichet" lies not just in the inherent beauty of the property itself but also in its stunning surroundings and the wealth of things to see and do in the area. It is ideally placed to watch the TOUR DE FRANCE which often passes within 20k, and for ski-ing at nearby Guzet.(25k away) The photos on this advert are in process of being changed, and the text being rewritten. "Le Pichet" is a traditional mountain house built, as are many in the region, partly into the hillside. Lovingly restored over the past 18 years it retains as many of the original features as possible - the "pas de oiseaux" originally built for thatching purposes, and the beams of the old roof structure. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, and now hung with paintings by Rodney and embroideries by Eleri, we are proud to welcome you into this part of our home. Rodney's sculptures provide a final personal touch. The house benefits from superb light, particularly in the afternoons and evenings in the downstairs dining room and upstairs rooms. Ground floor:a spacious dining room with woodburning stove, bathroom and well equipped kitchen (with raclette and fondue);lovely oak staircase leading to the first floor-two charming bedrooms and a light, high-ceilinged,living room which can also serve as a bedroom if required. The garden is an idyllic place to relax or dine outside, with stunning views and sunsets.
