Close to PDX, Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. The Garden Apartment has a private entrance from the main house. The bedroom has a queen bed along with two futons in the living area. There is a full kitchen and laundry room. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Columbia River from the covered patio with a futon for lounging, and table and chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has a gas stove & oven, full refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, crockpot & cookware. Breakfast food to get you started is provided; eggs, bread, butter & jam for toast, coffee, tea, orange juice and milk. There is a propane stove to warm and light up chilly days and nights. The futons open for comfortable sleeping with feather beds. Also a twin airbed can be set up in the common area if that is a good sleeping option for your group. You have private access to the Garden Apartment. We are happy to visit and offer you tips and recommendations on anything from where to eat to where to hike in the Gorge or play in Portland. We'll give you as much privacy or interaction as you'd like. If you forget a necessity, you may find it in our stocked bathroom or simply ask! Our home is located on 12 acres and this private location is visited regularly by deer and other wildlife. We are close to the Columbia and Washougal rivers. We are located about five minutes from Washougal, 30 minutes from PDX and about 45 minutes from downtown Portland. We are minutes away from some great hikes in the Gorge. The Washougal Motocross Track is 10 minutes away. The Portland Airport is about 30 minutes away. There is no public transportation to the house. We are close to both the Columbia and Washougal rivers for your enjoyment. Washougal has great local restaurants, several breweries and beautiful local hikes, birding and walks with the Columbia and Washougal Rivers close by.
