Billy the Kid at the Los Alamos Mercantile
Billy the Kid is our largest and finest apartment, and simply the best place to kick it in the heart of Santa Barbara's wine country, Los Alamos. Brand spankin' new, Billy the Kid is located in the center of town in the Los Alamos Mercantile Building. Recently deemed by Conde Nast Traveler as California's next "great food and wine destination" Los Alamos offers a whole lotta bang for a small Western town including amazing restaurants, wineries, and antique shopping. The space Billy the Kid offers two guest front bedrooms, with one shared bathroom, a fantastic open kitchen & living space, and a truly luxurious master bedroom (with is own private terrace) and master bath. Entry is from the rear courtyard and the foyer is on the ground floor with the apartment one flight of stairs up. All of our units are furnished with an eclectic collection of furnishings and artworks (not surprising as one of us was an interior designer for 20 years). We also love to cook ourselves and have stocked the kitchens the way we stock our own. Who doesn't need a garlic press?! Guest access In the rear courtyard of the building is a fire pit and several adirondack chairs, perfect for unplugging from city stress with a lovely local Lumen Winery Pinot Noir from next door at Pico! Other things to note Unlike a lot of places to hitch your wagon up in the Santa Ynez Valley, the Mercantile apartments truly are as good as it gets. We think the most important part of any vacation is to settle into a place that is truly comfortable and relaxing, and just unwind. Beds should be awesome and ours are. Pure cotton, high-count sheets should beckon you in and night and ours do. Bathrooms should be luxurious and ours are. We think you will simply love staying with us, and if you aren't dang pleased with every thing let us know and we will make it right.
