Description

Nestled near Ancient Olympia, our spacious house offers a tranquil escape steeped in history. With modern amenities, including private parking and a charming garden, it provides a cozy sanctuary for travelers. Surrounded by the timeless beauty of the Greek countryside, guests can immerse themselves in the allure of antiquity while enjoying the comforts of home, all while taking in the panoramic view of rolling hills stretching into the horizon. The space A very comfortable house with many amenities and very cool. It has three air conditioners. The 1st is in the living room, and two in the bedrooms. Other things to note Local area - Prefecture of Ilia: The beauty of Ilia comes from its generous nature. The area has been popular since antiquity, when crowds of people ran to Ancient Olympia to participate in the glorious Olympic Games every four years. Ilia is also characterized by its endless sandy beaches (20-25' from home), amazing trips to the countryside, heritage villages and protected areas with rare species of animals, birds and plants. Ancient Olympia is about 5 km (~ 10') from the house. The route to get there is very beautiful, as you will walk through an endless green landscape and can also deviate slightly to see the river Alfeios. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia houses important exhibits of unique value, including the famous statue of Hermes by Praxiteles. In Ancient Olympia (Ancient Olympia) you will find a wellness center, shops, banks, doctors, dentists, supermarkets and much more). At 13 km (~ 15 minutes) is the capital Pyrgos. The stunning area of Kaiafas (20 km -25) known for its wonderful and unique ecosystem (Natura), includes a large lake where water skiing is regularly held, the pine forest of Strofylia, a 4 km long golden beach. The clear blue waters and the world-famous thermal springs. The thermal springs of Kaiafas are a geological formation consisting of a spring where hot water comes out from deep within the Earth's crust and flows to the surface. The spring is located in a naturally formed cave at the foot of Mount Lapitha. Another area of stunning beauty is Foloi (25km - 25') with its dense forest, which stretches over an area of 72 acres, of oaks and centuries-old trees. According to mythology, Foloi was inhabited by Centaurs (mythical creatures that had the lower body of a horse and the upper body of a man). Near the Foloi forest and definitely worth exploring are the Nemouta waterfalls that fall into the river Erymanthos. Visits to traditional mountain villages such as Andritsaina, Divri (Lampia) and Karytaina highlight the special characteristics of the area, while nightlife is more intense in the town of Amaliada and the coastal village of Kourouta (both 33km 30'). The port of Katakolo is an unforgettable visit both in winter and summer as it has retained its traditional style, has nice fish taverns and cafes by the water. Next to it is the Mercouri estate for wine lovers..... Very close to the house (8 km) is the monastery of Panagia Kremasti. Also ideal for visiting other sights of the Southwest Peloponnese, such as the town of Kyparissia, Pylos, the castles of Methoni, the bay of Navarino and the castle of Chlemoutsi of 1283. Finally, you can visit Kefalonia and the islands of Zakynthos less than 2 hours and 30 minutes from the port of Killini. Beaches: Kato Sammiko, Kaiafa, Skafidia, Kourouta, Agios Andreas. These are beaches located 20'-30' from the house and are part of a beautiful 170km long sandy beach that stretches along the west coast of the Peloponnese from Killini to Filiatra and overlooks the Ionian Sea. You can visit a different beautiful beach every day! A little further south, in a protected area of the coast, pristine, wild and in a developed area, are the beautiful sandy beaches of Ai Giannakis and Kalos Neros, which are a refuge for sea turtles (Caretta caretta)!
