Alcohol - Hall Farm Dadlington has a venue alcohol licence so you are able to order drinks for arrival and we'll make sure your bottle is beautifully presented on ice ready to pop! Days Out - There is so much to do around the area, whether it's activities or mooching that you prefer. We provide a full list of everything from historic houses to shopping. The most popular short trip is 4 miles to Market Bosworth, a wonderful market village with independent shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants. There is also a choice of excellent day spas, so why not venture out for the day, or book a spa day, and let us prepare the hot tub ready for a soak on your return - all part of the excellent service we aim to provide. Our home - This property is situated on the edge of our family farm and is run and serviced by us, Kate & Mark Walker. We have six hand reared, tame sheep, three horses, two mini ponies, chickens and three exuberant, but very friendly dogs. Whilst we take measures to prioritise guest privacy and to keep our dogs contained, normal family life goes on within our yards & fields, and guests may see and hear us and our dogs. If guests have a fear of dogs we suggest contacting us prior to booking as a farm stay may not be suitable. Privacy - Parking is in our rear courtyard, formerly a farm yard. The garden gate to The Old Tractor Shed is where your privacy starts, but you may see or meet other people in the parking area as we come and go with horses. The view from the Tractor Shed garden is across the bottom of the village, our farmland, farm track walk and gravel pit, and further across 8 miles of rolling countryside. Guest access Check in is from 3pm. Check out is before 10am. We will be waiting to gain access by 10 to start draining the hot tub so prompt checkout is appreciated to allow us to stay on schedule. A one hour late checkout can be pre booked. Car - Enjoy on-site parking at Hall Farm for up to 4 cars, for the duration of your stay. We have good road links to the M6, M1 , M42 and NEC, Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester. Car is by far the best and easiest way to travel to our rural area. Dadlington is not on a bus route so a car is essential for going further than the surrounding villages. Train The nearest stations are Hinckley (10 mins drive) and Nuneaton (15 mins drive). Cabs should be available at the station. We can help with taxi numbers/ transfers if required. Taxis There are a few local taxi companies. If you wish to prebook cabs for your stay or transfers we have a list for a reliable service. Details can be found on our property info pack which will be sent after booking. Footpath The footpath onto the Ashby Canal passes across our fields so walkers can take off for the a short ramble or for the day. Shops The nearest supermarket (Morrisons) is 8 mins drive, the nearest town of Hinckley is 10 mins with Saisnburys, Aldi, Lidll and Tesco. Dobbies Garden centre has a huge butchery and a Waitrose inside with a fabulous veg stall outside. The local village convenience store is a 3 mins drive or a 15 minute walk (limited opening times). Market Bosworth is a gorgeous small market town with independent shops, pubs and restaurants - 10 min drive. Pubs (please check opening days & times and pre booking is recommended) Dadlington - Dog & Hedgehog - currently closed due to retirement. We hope this pub will soon be open again. Stoke Golding (a 15 min walk) has two pubs - the Three Horseshoes offers drinks, football and sport TV, with the Mango Tree Indian restaurant in the same building. The George & Dragon offers relaxed drinking and dining. Wander to Stoke Golding down the country lane in daylight, then after dark we prefer to take the very slightly longer route back (20 mins) through the houses on pavement. A slightly further 35 min walk or 4 min drive is Sutton Cheney where you will find the fabulous Hercules Revived, a coaching inn turned gastro pub, with its chilled indoor or outdoor dining vibe, for lunch or a la carte menu. An 8 minute drive takes you to the gorgeous market town of Market Bosworth with pubs, cafes and a popular Turkish grill. Search Hall Farm Dadlington for our Gastro Tour page detailing a full list of eateries which we hope gives you a 'Bible' with all the information you need for your stay. Other things to note House rules Hall Farm is a quiet venue and we ask guests to be respectful and mindful with music levels and noise. The hot tubs do not have a curfew as we want you to enjoy every minute of your stay, but we do ask guests to be quiet and turn off music after 11pm. We have 3 dogs including 2 mini sausages on our farm who are very over friendly and quite shouty when they meet new people. Whilst we try to keep them from bothering guests, the farm is their home. If you have a fear of dogs this might not be the venue for you so please get in touch before booking. We do not allow smoking or vaping in any of our properties. If you smoke on the patios, please do not stub out cigarettes on the stone and please do not throw butts into our fields or onto the ground. There are lidded buckets on each patio for ash and cigarette ends. There is absolutely no smoking in our hot tubs. As a responsible owner of land and livestock, we do not allow the releasing of balloons or sky lanterns or the use of fireworks or sparklers anywhere around our property. Please do not feed our animals or throw anything, including food, into our fields. If you touch the animals we advice washing your hands. We ask guests not to bring / use fire pits or BBQs. There is a gas BBQ available during summer months. Each of our properties sleeps a maximum of two adults unless we have arranged otherwise. This is a relaxing couples getaway venue. Full rental of the entire place can be arranged by enquiry. If you wish to invite friends to join you during your stay this must be pre-arranged with the hosts' permission. We do not accept children or pets.
