Fantastic historic 180-year-old farmhouse directly on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal with brick facade and traditional thatched roof. The 120 sqm apartment is equipped over 2 floors in a timeless style with an individual interior. Surrounded by an idyllic garden with fruit trees and meadows, in picturesque Berkenthin near Lübeck, with half-timbered houses and romantic lakes, numerous cycling and hiking trails and golf courses in the area. 30 km from the sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea. The space It is a completely renovated half-timbered house. The separate entrance to the apartment leads through a spacious hallway, which can be used. A wide wooden staircase leads to the upper living area. It is spread over three floors and separated by a glass/wooden door. This living area includes the bright kitchen, equipped with everything, separated from the living area by glass windows. Then there's the dining area and the bathroom, with a bathtub. Then three steps lead up to the sleeping area. From the living/dining area a staircase leads to the lower living area. From the wide wooden staircase of the hallway, go right to two separate rooms, with a sofa bed and seating furniture as well as a desk. A desk is also to be found in the lower living room. A spacious guest toilet is next to it. Towels and linens are plentiful. Toilet paper and cleaning products are also provided. If something is missing, we will be happy to provide it. It's important that you can feel comfortable and relax. Bicycles/electric can be secured and charged in the garage. On and next to the property there are parking spaces. Guest access There is a separate entrance via the hallway to the upper apartment. The garden and a private terrace can be used. Dogs are unfortunately not allowed, as the apartment is partly carpeted and there is white upholstered seating furniture!Otherwise, all guests are welcome! Other things to note There are two supermarkets, then a pharmacy, post office and gas station in the village, charging stations for electric cars in the village, on Sunday morning a baker's truck. On Wednesday there is a small market in Berkenthin. On Friday in Ratzeburg. There are small farm shops in the area. The area can be explored wonderfully by bike: Ratzeburg, Mölln, to Lübeck. Excursions by car to Hamburg, Wismar, Schwerin or to Kühlingsborn, Boltenhagen are also possible. The apartment is for rent all year round; as the surroundings invite you to walks, hikes and excursions to the Baltic Sea in autumn and winter. Sports activities: swimming in the many lakes and jogging on the canal.
