The front verandah has views over the village. The south facing back garden, with table and chairs, is peaceful and private, looking over fields, and has a barbecue for warm evenings. Downstairs, there is a shower room with walk-in easy access shower and 2 bedrooms, one with 5ft bed and wheelchair- accessible door to patio, the other with twin beds. Upstairs, with superb views to south and west, the master bedroom has a 6ft bed, freestanding bath with shower, and cloakroom. The twin room, with views to east has an en suite shower room. Having a family bathroom and 2 downstairs bedrooms, one with door from patio, the house appeals to groups where not everyone wants to climb stairs! With 2 en suite bedrooms upstairs, a second family may be accommodated in privacy too. Outside, the sunny patio with dining table and barbecue enables outdoor meals when the weather is good. Reclining chairs offer somewhere to relax in seclusion, with a great outlook over fields. Geothermal heating ensures warmth all year, with plenty of hotwater. The house is ideally placed for sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, visits to English Heritage relaxing. There is a variety of beaches within a 5 mile radius, from the wild coast at Brook and Compton to the little family oriented Colwell Bay with its gently sloping sand. Footpaths pass within 50m of the house joining the Hamstead Trail, enabling visitors to explore Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coastline. Walks along Compton Down offer wonderful vistas to Freshwater Bay, and as much fresh air as you could wish for. Just 30 m away is the village green with a fitness centre for burning off extra energy or a game of football. Walks along the south coast 3 miles away offer chances to find fossils and dinosaur footprints. With an hourly bus service through the village, cars may be left at home and Yarmouth's restaurants and pubs are reached in 10 minutes. Most of the Island's attractions such as Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House, Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill may be reached by bus, travelling through Newport, only 20 minutes away. Low light pollution and wide views give great opportunities to observe the night sky. Bird life is varied with visitors reporting little owls, barn owls, kestrels, sparrowhawks and buzzard, pheasants and partridges as well as the smaller garden birds. Brown hares provide a spectacle as they race across the field, and last week a stoat was sunning himself in the garden. Pets accommodated at extra cost of £20 per dog per day OR £50 per dog per week.
