Waterfront Comfy Guesthouse, PEC

Description

Beautiful waterfront unit nestled along the shores of Weller's Bay in lovely Prince Edward County, with a large yard directly accessing waterfront, and great views from the deck. 1.5 hrs from the GTA. Your own entrance, deck, bbq, fire pit, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc . Free access to a 50 acre private property with forested hiking trails. Close to other hiking trails, fishing spots, sand beaches. Ice fishing is popular on Weller's Bay during winter, close to skidoo trails,a local ski hill. The space I have purchased an Ontario Parks season pass for your use, although it is my understanding that you will still have to reserve ahead, such as for Sandbanks. I was able to recently upgrade my internet, so it is now strong, with download speeds ranging from 150 to 200 Mbps and upload speeds ranging from 12 to 19 Mbps. This guest house provides a cozy, warm atmosphere in a great location, beautiful Prince Edward County, at a waterfront setting on Weller’s Bay. Close proximity to Trenton, restaurants, beaches, and wineries. You will have your own private entrance, keypad entrance, upper balcony deck, bbq, firepit, with free firewood, use of outdoor games, volleyball/ basketball net/ badminton net. The only thing shared is the driveway, and there is plenty of parking as the driveway is large. The property is also near private hiking trails. Includes free bottled water, coffee, cream, tea, and hot chocolate, and use of day pass to provincial parks including Sandbanks. I have recently added an awning on the deck for sun and rain protection, which can only be used if there is a light breeze without stronger winds. Half of the backyard is fence off and dedicated to sole use by yourselves as the airbnb guest(s). You will have access to your own private dock, a fire pit, a hammock, 2 paddleboards, 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, and a pedal boat. Lifejackets from infant to adult are provided. A scanoe with small battery powered motor is available for rental provided adequate knowlege of motor operation. Plenty of indoor and outdoor games are also provided. A double blow up mattress is available for putting out on the deck and enjoying a romantic night star gazing. There are no city lights, so some nights, the stars are spectacular, and in August, you can catch some amazing meteor showers. Provided are 2 free 4 L of drinking water per night of stay. The water is potable, but salty from the water softener, and that is why I provide water for you. Also provided for free is complimentary tea and coffee, cream and sugar, hot chocolate, and firewood. The guest house has a queen bed and a sofa bed. The water conditions range from as still as being like a glass surface, to white caps. I have calculated that roughly 35% of days this past summer could be considered gusty. 2.5 kilometers away is a groomed old railway bed that people enjoy walking and biking on, and goes as far south as Picton, called the Millenium Trail, which spans 48 km from Carrying Place to Picton. Location is ideal, about 15 minutes from the 401, and nestled in the County close to vineyards, and popular sandy beaches. Ask about one week for $ 1,000 from Nov. to March. During the winter, Weller's Bay is popular for ice fishing. Snowmobiles and 4 Wheelers use the Millenium Trail. Snowmobiling is also available on the Prince Edward County Taste Trail; Prince Edward County Trail Riders are also located Located in the heart of Prince Edward County, who look after grooming and maintaining 220 kms of trails throughout the County. Also located 25 minutes away from Batawa Ski Hill. STA license # ST-2022-0162 Guest access Provided is a variety of outdoor equipment and games including 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a pedal boat, a set of croquet, bocce ball, Kan jam, badminton, and volleyball. You will also have access to basketballs and driveway backboard on request (as host may need to move vehicle : ) You can access your own firepit, and dock on which you can sit and enjoy watching the beautiful sunset. You can access Netflix, Prime, and Disney movies. Ethernet cord with USB available for a laptop. Other things to note This is a quiet residential waterfront neighborhood and as such, partying and excessive noise after 10 PM is not allowed. If you are bringing a dog or dogs, please only do so if they are not aggressive, well behaved, and controlled, including barking. Of course, all dogs bark, but please only book if your dog(s) do not bark excessively, and if you can have control over that. Please note that pets are not allowed on the bed, and I also prefer not on the couch, but I know that is harder to control, so there is a comforter provided in a drawer of the white dresser beside the fridge to put on the couch. Pets are also not allowed in the bathroom as I have had a dog destroy the area carpet. Please make sure dogs are well dried off if they have gone into the water. Thank you. The waterfront here is rocks and stones, so watershoes are best.
