For your convenience, we’ve provided a dresser, TV, luggage rack, mini refrigerator, and essential toiletries. We ask that you set up a post office box for your mail. We recommend the post office next to Trader Joe’s at Piper Glen or the Matthews post office. Both are located within a 10-minute drive of the house. Guest access You’re welcome to explore and enjoy the entire house. Consider it your home during your stay. As a professional cook, I use high-end cookware in the kitchen. You're welcome to prepare meals, but I’ll give you a quick tutorial on using the pots and pans to keep everything in great shape. We encourage you to relax and unwind—build a fire, sip your favorite beverage, and enjoy the koi pond and garden. Don’t be surprised if we join you for a chat or a laugh! We’re a little old-fashioned around here and still use real keys—remember those? You’ll receive one when you check in, along with simple instructions for returning it at the end of your stay. We’re both artists in our own ways—Ning is a professional musician who plays with the Charlotte Symphony and I’m a professional cook. Hospitality is important to us, and we do our best to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and a little special—like a home away from home. Other things to note House Guidelines This is a smoke-free property. Both my husband and I are sensitive to smoke and vape products, so we kindly ask that you refrain from smoking or vaping inside the house. You're welcome to smoke in the backyard—please dispose of cigarette butts in the outdoor garbage can. I appreciate your understanding! For everyone's safety, we have security cameras installed on the exterior perimeters of the property only. There are no cameras inside the house or in any private guest areas. We do not mind if you occasionally receive an Amazon package at our address. However, you are NOT allowed to receive or forward your MAIL here. Both post offices are within a 10-minute drive of the house. Ning teaches violin lessons from a private office studio on-site. His teaching hours are typically Monday through Friday from 3–7 PM, with occasional Sunday sessions. Students use a separate entrance, and their visits will not interfere with your stay.
