Welcome to our 9 acres of Southwestern Colorado. You will love the peace and quiet afforded in our casita. The remodeled casita is cozy and simple, with rustic charm. It has a sleeping area with queen bed, full bathroom, kitchen, stove, microwave, full fridge, and eating area. The casita is a great retreat for a couple and overlooks a pond and has an AMAZING view of Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain. This cool space sits far away from our main house for your privacy. We are close to mountain biking, hiking, and all that the Four Corners offers. If you are traveling with more than 2-3, we have three other listings on our large property— the Mesa Verde Tiny House, The Four Corners Tiny House, and The Sleeping Ute Tiny House. Each is private and sleeps 2-3 guests. If you are interested in exploring the area on horseback, JJ leads trail rides that explore adjacent McElmo Canyon that visit ancient Puebloan ruins. Let us know if you’re interested and we can coordinate with you! You'll have access to hike around and explore our property. The casita has most everything you need to make your stay complete. Although this is not a guest amenity, our family hot tub may be available for use, depending on our schedule. Please just ask during your stay and we’ll let you know. Your comfort is our priority. We tend to give guests privacy yet look forward to interacting with you should you desire. The views here are amazing, especially sunrise and sunset. We have dogs on the property, as well as a free roaming flock of chickens. There is a pond close to the casita with wildlife. Please review the Airbnb app for directions and check in instructions. You will need your own transportation. *Please bring your own coffee! Our house manual, directions, and WiFi info are listed on the Airbnb app. So please make sure you have the app accessible during your stay. The casita is small—bigger than a tiny house but more like a studio apartment size with a full size bath attached. We live in an economically depressed area and we pride ourselves in providing more than living wage employment to our cleaning staff. Our cleaning fee offsets some of that cost. We also charge that fee to make it more reasonable for multi-day stays. We have an air conditioning unit in the casita for your comfort during the warmer months. We recently replaced our sliding door with a French door (the slider had been somewhat challenging to open and close). Please note. If you enjoy the sounds of nature outside your door, this is the right place. Importantly, no TV, but the casita has good wifi. We are about 10 minutes from Phil’s World. We often offer mountain bike rentals and guiding for our world class mtb trail system: Phil’s World, Sand Canyon, and Boggy Draw.
