Here you’ll find a cozy, thoughtfully designed space with incredible views, a full kitchen, strong WiFi, and rare quiet. Settle into the quiet, open space and slower pace that makes this place special. This remodeled casita is clean, fully sanitized, and thoughtfully designed with a simple, rustic feel. It features a queen bed, full bathroom, full kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dining area. Large windows frame incredible views of Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain, and the casita overlooks a small pond. Set well away from the main house, it offers a private and peaceful retreat for one or two guests. You’ll be close to world-class mountain biking, hiking, and everything the Four Corners region has to offer. Traveling with a group of 3 or more? We have three additional private units on the property: the Mesa Verde Tiny House, the Four Corners Tiny House, and the Sleeping Ute Tiny House, each accommodating 2–3 guests. Interested in exploring on horseback? JJ leads trail rides through nearby McElmo Canyon, including visits to ancient Puebloan sites. Let us know if you’d like help coordinating. Guest access You'll have access to hike around and explore our property. The casita has most everything you need to make your stay complete. Although this is not a guest amenity, our family hot tub may be available for use, depending on our schedule. Please just ask during your stay and we’ll let you know. Other things to note * Please bring your own coffee. We have a coffee maker for you. Our house manual, directions, and WiFi info are all available in the Airbnb app, so please have it accessible during your stay. The casita is compact—larger than a tiny house but similar to a studio apartment, with a full bathroom attached. The antique stove is getting more difficult to find replacement parts, as a result only 2 burners work. Should you need more, there is a 2 burner electric hotplate that can be used for more cooking capacity. We take pride in maintaining a clean, well-cared-for space and in supporting our local team with fair wages. The cleaning fee helps cover the time and care that goes into preparing the casita for each guest, while keeping nightly rates reasonable for longer stays. For warmer months, the casita is equipped with air conditioning. We’ve also recently upgraded to a French door for easier access. If you enjoy the sounds of nature just outside your door, this is a great fit. There is no TV, but the casita has reliable WiFi. We’re about 10 minutes from Phil’s World and close to great riding at Sand Canyon and Boggy Draw. Kokopelli Bike & Board, our local shop, offers rentals, maps, and service.
