Basement guest suite in a modern luxury townhome, loaded with contemporary minimalist design. This prime Seattle location is less than 5 minutes from Lake Washington by car, and downtown is a short 15-minute bus or bike ride away. This unit is also located steps away from bus transportation. Less than a mile to Trader Joe s, Wilridge Winery, Seattle's famous Central Cinema, Madrona Park, and the newly updated Seattle Japanese Garden. The space PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Your gorgeous and minimalist guest suite includes two private bedrooms, a private bathroom, a desk/workspace, a microwave, minifridge, a coffee maker, and electric kettle. (Note there is no living room or kitchen in the basement suite). Please note that this suite is the lower level of our home and we live upstairs with our two dogs so you will hear us from time to time. You'll have your own private entrance where you can go directly into your unit. Your suite includes two private bedrooms with queen beds and one private bathroom. There is a set up with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and electric kettle so you will have the basics. This is a fairly minimal “no frills” basement suite and our pricing is calculated accordingly, making this space most ideal for travelers on the go or who are just looking for a place to rest their head. Please note that we live upstairs with our two dogs: a beagle named Watson and a Maltese mix named Samson. If the possibility of noise from the dogs upstairs is a dealbreaker for you, we suggest booking somewhere else that will suit your needs. We do our very best to ensure you have a nice quiet stay, but prefer guests only to book if you are comfortable with this expectation. When our beagle is out in our yard, he will want to say hi to you by sitting outside your basement bedroom windows. He LOVES new people! As adorable as he is, all the attention he receives from our guests makes it hard to train him away from trying to beg for attention at the windows. We understand not everyone is a dog person (but please only book if you are ;)) and so we try to limit guests’ interactions with him through the window so he doesn’t form the permanent habit of disturbing guests by begging for attention at the guest windows. We instead would be happy to coordinate some play time with you and the dogs in the yard if you’d like (we keep the fence to our yard locked so it would need to be coordinated with us). Watson loves playing fetch with new people! We ask if this is something you’d like to do, you coordinate this with us instead of playing with him through the window as to not continue this habit of begging at the windows for guest attention. Thank you for understanding life with a beagle! :) Also, as nearly all homes in Seattle, our home does not have air conditioning. The warmest it generally gets in the summer in Seattle however is high 70s (F) and so you shouldn’t find this to be much problem.
