Les Chapelles is a small country hamlet in the Charente-Maritime between the historic Roman town of Saintes & the beautiful beaches of Royan. Le Cadran Solaire is a 3 double/twin bedroom 200 year old cottage, luxuriously appointed with all mod cons, private outdoor space for relaxing, eating & drinking and access to the shared 3 acre garden, shady children's playroom, table tennis and heated indoor pool with sun deck. Larger groups can book with our 2 bedroom apartment, La Cachette The space Le Cadran Solaire (The Sundial) is a stunning renovation of a 200 year old cottage. It has 3 good-sized bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) 1 shower-room, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen/diner and large separate lounge. One double bedroom and the shower-room are downstairs and accessible by wheelchair users. Le Cadran Solaire also has a private terrace and garden. The kitchen features a range oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, kettle, toaster, coffee-maker, Nespresso machine... everything you could wish for! The lounge features English language satellite TV, DVD player and a wood-burning stove. With children ourselves, the gites have been designed to be extremely child friendly and we have cots and other equipment available - let us know what you require and we'll see if we can help! We provide all linen and towels (including towels for use by the pool). Guest access Outside, Le Cadran Solaire has a large terrace and garden with table, chairs, sun loungers, umbrella and barbecue. Beyond there is access to the shared 3 acre garden, shady children's playroom, table tennis, bikes in a variety of sizes and the stunning heated indoor pool with sun deck.
