Blidworth Dale House, a classic Nottinghamshire country house, lies between Nottingham and Mansfield near the ancient village of Blidworth in heart of Sherwood Forest. The house is surrounded by mature parkland and is situated in the middle of a working farm. The airbnb listing is for the wing which is the original 1700’s farmhouse on the left hand side of the picture with a red tiled facade. The Dale is conveniently situated to getting in to Nottingham, Mansfield or Southwell. The 18th century block, housing the west wing, comprised the original house. In 1834 Thomas Parsons of Nottingham erected the main part of the mansion. The walled garden, ha-ha and park were laid out in the 1850’s by Johnathan Hardcastle with some additions to the south in the 19th century erected by the Webbs, who were also the owners of nearby Newstead Abbey. Blidworth Dale House is a member of the Historic Houses Association (HHA) Guest access Guests have access to Blidworth Dale House - West Wing , together with off road parking and a private lawned area. We will welcome you to the House upon your arrival. Please note that the original 1700’s stairs are steep and narrow. Other things to note We have an elderly cocker spaniel called Gigi who loves to meet new people. The stairs in the wing are narrow and steep as they are the original 1700’s stairs.
