It links two cities: Biarritz, a tourist center, and Bayonne, an industrial zone par excellence. This factor has conditioned its development. The fact that it is on the RN 10 has attracted commercial establishments (supermarkets, shopping malls, etc.). Note also the airport whose traffic intensity is far from negligible.
