Description

The Stables is a gorgeous property set in the Suffolk countryside, a ten minute drive from Southwold, Walberswick, Beccles & the Broads. Perfect for families and groups with an ensuite in each bedroom and open plan kitchen and dining area. We welcome dogs with a secure, private garden and a maze of beautiful walks on our doorstep, including a footpath to the pub! Enjoy the hot tub, BBQ & outdoor dining area in the summer, or enjoy a bracing walk & cosy down by the log burner in the winter! The space The Stables is a unique home which was originally converted from a stable and recently refurbished in to a modern and cosy home. Each bedroom has it's own ensuite making it perfect for a group or family booking. The living room has a sofa bed which can accommodate two extra people. No detail has been forgotten, from luxurious linen from through to fun garden games for all the family! The open plan kitchen and dining area make the property perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is well kitted out, making it perfect for whipping up your favourite meals. (Or nip to Beccles or Southwold for a meal or takeaway) The living room has a log burner with enough wood to keep you warm during your stay. There are numerous books, games (for young and old!), music, DVDs, to keep you entertained, as well as countless walks and bird watching opportunities for anyone feeling a little more active. We are also very excited to offer a large wood fire hot tub perfect for up to 8 people, which we offer as an optional extra at a charge of £49 for the weekend to cover wood and running costs. Please let us know if you'd like to book the hot tub for your stay! We have also recently planted a woodland area beside the property with a pond which guests can visit, and we have a resident barn owl if you're lucky enough to spot him! * Please note that there is a deep pond next to the property. This is fenced off from the garden, and also has child proof gates leading to it Guest access You'll have access to the entire house with a large enclosed yard and garden. There is also a shared utility room which has washing machine, dryer, and ironing board. If you have more than 8 guests or would like more space, we also have an additional 1 bedroom cottage located next to The Stables, which is totally independent and fully self-catered. This one bedroom cottage is called Wood Farm Dairy Other things to note If you require to use the laundry or hoover during your stay, please look in the shed in the courtyard with the black door behind your property. The key to this sits in a bowl on top of the fridge in the kitchen. The bins are also in this courtyard. If you need more wood during your stay, you can find logs in the black wooden chest, also in the courtyard. Please note that we provide tea bags and a few coffee pods and sugar, oil, salt and pepper. We do provide a small bottle of milk so you can enjoy a cuppa after your long journey! We do not provide any other breakfast or food items. Tescos, Waitrose, Sainsburys and Morrisons all deliver in this area if you wish to arrange a food delivery. There are also supermarkets in Beccles which is a 10 minute drive away - a Tescos, Morrisons, Coop nad Lidls. The hot tub will be available for guests. This can take 2 hours to heat up so please plan this into your day. The hot tub will be pre-filled with water - you just need to start the fire and keep it topped up with logs. An aggressive fire which is topped up regularly will heat the water the quickest. Please do not leave a lit hot tub unattended. We provide fire lighters, matches and logs in the shed next to the hot tub. We provide a hand towel and bath towel per person and tea towels in the kitchen - you may wish to bring extras if you plan to visit the beach or use the hot tub. The BBQ is available for guests to use. It must be cleaned afterwards please. Please note, we do not provide charcoal, please bring your own. You will find a leaflet showing some nice local walks on the window sill by the back door. Well behaved dogs are welcome, we just ask that you keep them off the sofa and out of the bedrooms please.
