Delightful, trendy, modern cottage in a pretty village near to Durham and in close proximity to countless local attractions. 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom on the first floor. Private garden with off street parking, and ample on street parking. The village has a boutique hotel with a quality restaurant and beauty salon, a traditional pub and a club. I live 3 miles away and will be accessible by phone. The space Byers Green is a pretty rural Durham village, set on the banks of the River Wear with an exceptionally central location. It is only 1 mile from Binchester Roman Fort which boasts the finest example of a Hypocaust in the country and has played host to TV.s Time Team. Whitworth Hall, the former home of "Bobby Shafto" made famous in the nursery rhyme is also within walking distance of the village. 4 miles away is beautiful Bishop Auckland with it`s Georgian market place, art galleries and castle which was home to The Prince Bishops of Durham for centuries not to mention the epic show of the history of Britain "Kynren". Durham City and it`s magnificent Cathedral are 8 miles away and the beautiful Durham Dales, Hamsterley Forest, Killhope Wheel and High Force are only a few miles of scenic drive away. Locomotion museum at Shildon, Barnard Castle, Beamish open air Museum and Hadrian`s Wall are but a few of the countless attractions in the area. Guest access Guests will have the whole property to themselves for their private use. Please note that Building Regulations are presently being sought at the property. I have contacted Airbnb and enquired as to my position in letting the property whilst this issue is ongoing. They informed me that any reservations are made at the guest,s own discretion therefore I have opened up the calendar to take future bookings. Should you have any concerns about booking during this time please call me directly and I will explain the situation in full. Other things to note The Nest is a small property with 2 staircases. The one leading from the ground floor to the first floor has 2 turns in it and the staircase leading to the attic also has 2 turns in it. This although character enhancing may be a problem for those with mobility problems and toddlers. The shower bath is quite high sided and the bathroom is small this may prove problematic for those with mobility problems and for those wishing to bathe small children. The village does not have a shop but is closely located to Spennymoor and Bishop Auckland where a wide range of supermarkets can be found. It is also worth noting that the drive way is narrow but if a large car is to be accommodated there is plenty of on street parking. Bookings should be for no more than 3 people as there is only a double and a single bed.
