Description
Our detached bungalow is in a quiet, secure location at the bottom of a private road in a village within the South Downs National Park. We overlook fields and lovely views. Haslemere station is 8 mins drive going to Waterloo and Portsmouth every 15 mins. NT properties, Cowdray Park Polo and Goodwood are not far. We have lovely walks from the door, the 1/3 acre garden. Kids and dogs are especially welcome - wild rabbits, scooters, table tennis, billiards etc. So many local places to visit. The space The bedroom with drawers, shelves and hanging space is accessed through the separate lounge. This has settee, easy chair, table and chairs, microwave, cutlery, china and kettle for making hot drinks. There is a breakfast box wth instant porridges, cereals, pain au chocolate, fruit juice and fruit for you to choose from. (Not to provide your snacks/lunch so please don’t take away ha ha !) Yogurts and a jug of milk is in the kitchen fridge for you and we usually have a variety if you don’t use dairy. The Red Lion pub has lovely food but it may be worth making a reservation at weekends. You are welcome to bring in take-aways and plates etc are available. The shower room has a larger than average cubicle, bidet and electric shower. There is triple glazing, central and electric heating. There are black out blinds in both rooms as you have the morning sun. Guest access Guests have sole use of their bedroom, lounge and shower room. You will also have sole use of the front door and only need to walk through our shared hallway to access your rooms. You are also welcome to use the garden which has 4 separate seating areas and lovely views. During your stay We are a friendly, retired couple of grandparents who want guests to get the best from their stay with us. We are happy to let you be as private as you want - or as sociable. We could even baby/pet sit. Other things to note You will have sole use of the 2 rooms and shower room. The front entrance to the bungalow is also for your sole use while you are on the premises. You just have to walk through our shared hallway to access your rooms. Families may use our kitchen fridge. China and cutlery etc are available for take aways etc. If you are staying more than 1 night I am happy, while you are out, to refresh your breakfast things, dry towels and remove china to our dishwasher. We sometimes have a variety of milks/teas/decaf/gluten free etc available for the asking. We have maps that can be borrowed and lots of local leaflets so that you can make the most of this beautiful area. There is good Wi-fi, tv with dvd and freeview ( some DVD’s available), radio/cd for your use. Phone reception without the Wi-fi can be tricky.
