House by the sea, beach, sauna

Holiday house (2015) for all year use next to the sea on the Hadsel island. Right by secluded beach facing spectacular mountains, perfect for hiking, fishing or just slow living under the midnight sun or northern lights. Wood-fired sauna (extra cost) and two small canoes (not in use autumn/winter) for guests. Several design classics from the 1960's and selected personal objects give the house a distinct look and atmosphere. The space We have built the house of our dreams by the sea and next to the smallholding farm where Teresa grew up. Perfect for all-year use; skiing in winter, hiking, swimming, bird-watching or boating in summer. The house has heated floors and a fire place, as well as a large terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The birdlife along the seashore is particularly rich. The ocean is full of fish, and sometimes you may even spot small whales (porpoise), seals or otter. The moose can often be seen wandering peacefully in the outskirts of the woods, only meters away from the house. Across the road is a jetty, where you'll find two small canoes at your disposal. (Not in autumn/winter) A separate, wood-fired sauna with marvelous views is at your disposal (Euro 70 one time / Euro 120 week). Following a path of about 70 meters you'll reach a beach with coral sand and views to the mountains of Lofoten and Vesterålen. During low tides, a bank of sand reaches the surface with different kinds of shells - free to pick! We have furnished the house with several design classics from the 60's, amongst them shelves and tables from Bahus, refurbished dining chairs in Model 75 by Danish Niels Otto Møller and the lamp Trava by Swedish designer Carl Thore. Guest access The house (approx. 90 sqm) contains fully equipped kitchen, stove, oven, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher, dining section, living room, laundry room with washing machine and storage, bathroom and three bedrooms, one with double bed (180x200), one with single (90x200) and one with bunkbeds (75x200). Spacious room on the loft with extra mattresses (90x200). In the loft there is a TV and DVD player, as well as office with desk and reading space. Outside furniture (dining table and sitting area) and an outdoor kitchen with sink and coal barbecue.
